This is my build thread for my 2016 Magnetic Gray Platinum CM 4x4

    ******************************************************************
This is how she currently sits

    ******************************************************************

A little History. This is my second Toyota truck. Back in 2004, I had a 2004 Tacoma double cab 4x4.
Here was how she looked like
    [IMG]

It was a great little truck, and I miss it. it had full suspension(Donahoe Racing) and full armor from Demello Offroad. Had many memories on that truck.

So about 10 years later, I needed a truck, but this time something that can haul stuff and my family, so this is what we came home with the other week.

And here she is next her stable mate.

Needed secure and dry storage so, after days of research, pulled the Trigger on a Bakflip MX4 cover.
Very happy with the quality and function of it.
True test is to see how water proof it really is!

Sell them! There's lots of people that got tundras without steps so I'm sure you can sell them pretty quick.

Took the truck out today and thought I'd get some decent iPhone pics.

Pretty nice. Fits perfect and is rubber so it is pretty flexible.

So I picked up an MBRP 3" single installer series.. I got the cheapest one without tips.
    http://performancetruckproducts.com...5-7l-ec-std-sb-cc-sb-2009-2014-exhaust-system
They are having a pretty good deal on it if anyone is interested! Use coupon code MBRP15 for 15% off.
I paid $229 shipped after discount!!!! Thats cheaper than what a muffler shop would charge me to weld in a muffler.

Packing was so so.. there were some small dings at the ends of some of the pieces, but its soft aluminum so its easy to bend it back with a pair of pliers.. no big deal.

    All the pieces
    [IMG]

It actually fit pretty decent amazingly. Lets just say it fit better than it looked! All pieces went together with minimal force and everything bolted up pretty good.

    Conclusion :
Initial Drive - It does have a a bit of drone around 1500-2000 rpms... its not too bad, its tolerable for now. Let's see if it gets worst as it breaks in.
Fit & Finish - Fit is pretty good 9/10. Finish is good for what it is, aluminized pipe 7/10
Value - Really good value for what I paid for it. I don't think I would pay more than what I paid though.
I tried to remove my oem exhaust tip but it wouldn't budge. Once I get it off, i will see if it fits this pipe or not.

Installed my oem exhaust tip onto the mbrp. Just needed to buy a 3" clamp since the stock one is acually too big.

If the drone is too much many have cut off the exhaust after the rear axle to get rid of it; on the downward slope. Seems to work well with any muffler swap from what I've read fwiw.

The drone was getting too much. So I copped off 24" from the tail pipe. And what do you know, the drone is completely gone!!!! Can't believe it. I was in denial that it would go away. I'm glad I did it.

Their is nothing like that annoying drone going down the freeway ! My last truck had the drone and try going on a long road trip with your wife and see how that works.......I went back to stock after that and the marriage got better. Beautiful truck and glad to see the drone went away ! ENJOY !!!!!!!

Thanks to @dcsleeper408 for putting in my lift!

    Front : LRO 3" spacer
    Rear : CB +3 Shackle
Misc : Carrier bearing drop, urethane leaf bushing, front diff drop

I gained 3.15" up front & 1.5-1.75" in back. I will re-measure once everything settles and I get an alignment.

Thanks. Should be done next weekend.
I was originally going to go with black but since I have no black on my truck I picked gunmetal. Hope the two grays don't clash.
