I mean, the 4 headlight setup is super appealing. I think that's what really does it for me with the 67-68 year range specifically. The front ends are a work of art.

I really like the Suburbans and C-10s from that era. Although I think the Chevelle station wagon is the best.

It was these threads that I found that inspired the action. I will probably be putting the plastics part on the to-do list.

Yep I'm guilty, I've had the truck from new and always given it spot on maintenance, including brake fluid replacements, but I've never touched the P/S fluid. I'd love to change it, but it looks like such a mess to do. I have never even added any to it and the level is still good. It's an ugly dark color, but I'm afraid to upset it after 20 years now. I've thought of sucking it out of the reservoir with a turkey baster and adding new ATF for a few cycles, maybe while hot and running with lock to locks to pump more through.

I would do the personalized plates if it were just a one time fee but the paying-every-year for the privilege of special plates just doesn't sit all that well with me. I can't even explain why. I just don't care for most subscriptions, feels like I'm being milked.

Do a test piece on something, and scuff it on trees, metal, and concrete.

nvm. Project farm does something close.

Nice. Do you have to prep the surface before spraying for max adhesion?

They have some primer etcher stuff available. I didn’t use that, I primed with POR 15. That was months ago, so I gave it a quick sand for prep.

I do have some experience with this stuff, the boy’s 4R is completely sprayed with it. That’s tintable sprayer formula and this is rattle can black, but both 2 part. I’m pretty confident it will hold up as well or better than color matched plastic bumper cover paint. Or not, but the boy’s 4R has been hit twice and the Raptor spray was the least damaged. It’s in now for $2500 of work and the finish looks new except where things actually broke and made a line along the crack.

I will say that black fgt’s are the best fgt’s. But i consider plastic bumper fgt’s to be faahgt’s. First and a half.

Wow. The 4R is very nicely done! How many cans of spray for a single coat? Or does the tintable spray imply it was done with a auto paint sprayer?

That was sprayed at a body shop. I would not try to rattle can a whole truck. But I may try to rattle my fiber glass tonneau. For reference, rear bumper 1 can barely.

Gotta be careful, someone may mistake that one for an effeminate adventurer. That's the risk of FGT vs. 1GT
