Anyone familiar with these as in actual ‘eyes on’ at some point? I’ll be removing my back seats in a few weeks to sound proof the metal wall that backs up to the rear bed.

Also, will be looking at this as potential water leak areas while I have things open I can clean and caulk this thing up real good.

Are they removable from inside the cab?

Well the idiots sent me to the wrong HR building. So I'm gunna try to talk to the people at the correct one for the South side. I was sent to the office that employs the north side. FML. Wasted a 1/4 tank for nothing and my time. Oh well. Gunna find a first gen that wants to buy my heavy duty rear bumper soon hopefully.

This same thing happened to me years ago. Sat in the HR waiting room for an hour and a half wating to be interviewed (after check-in/confirming that I was there) only to finally be told that they weren’t expecting me and I’ll need to interview with the non-interviewer and then also come back when the real interviewer was in office.

Some things happen for a reason...

For those of us that work underneath our trucks regularly, I highly recommend this ‘blanket’ for laying on. It was used as a protective wrap on some art work that was delivered. Reminds me of thick window reflector visors inserts.

Its neutral in summer and very warm in winter (reflects the heat back instantly). You can slide and break dance on this stuff, too.

Best part is it cleans up easily and was free. I also use a regular blanket sometimes to rest my head, but the go to blanket is the ‘reflector’. It also reflects light up under the truck to rid those dark zones.

Think you can buy it at a packing store for few bucks.

Switchbacks installed...I think I’m done with the lights. Until I install the other set of BD squadrons and ditch light brackets.

Your truck is looking good. I wish I knew how to do the fog lights on anytime and turn my ambers into the drls. How do the switchbacks work? Did you have to wire then specially?

I love my rago fab ditch brackets. Theyre a veteran owned and operated Texas business. Plus they'll give you 10%off

The switchbacks are plug and play. They’re white for drl’s and then switch to amber for turn signals.

I have a set of Hot Metal fab brackets waiting to be installed. They’re lower profile and cheaper than Ragos. Plus they’re local so I didn’t have to pay shipping.

For me yes, California truck. Depending on where you live the removal of your old bump stops would be the hard part. New ones have an allen head bolt and even come with the wrench to install them.

Are these for general onroad ride comfort? Or, for off road banging? How many are needed at each wheel? Looks like you said you needed 2 per wheel up front but only are using 1 per wheel?

Is there a thread somewhere that explains how this is done? I'd love to get rid of the green gauges on mine.

More for off road, I haven't been able to get my truck back together yet so haven't experienced how they ride. Most people run one per wheel but if they work well I may add a second, just curious what the damping is like.

Later on I may throw some on the rear as well.

I had 1600lbs in my bed last month and only bottomed once on a 10 mile trip. Not sure if I need them back there ever on my truck. The fronts maybe because that gap is smaller and the bushing larger than OEM. I’ll wait for more feed back for on road performance.

Yours is an 02’. I just did mine by converting over to all LED’s, but you can make a huge easy improvement by just removing the ‘green rubbers’ off your OEM bulbs. Scroll to #2370 on the link below.

The following pages after the #2370 post show others work and you should be able to figure it all out.

I picked up a nice used tailgate for my '02, and I placed it in storage for future use.

The seller is from Nigeria, he buys wrecked Toyota trucks at auction and sells off everything but the engine, transmission, and running gear. All of that gets loaded into a container, and it's shipped to a buyer in Africa.

Only 1 set per Axle. You can run 2 sets up front but that may be overkill.

They’re great for softening harder blows. If you’re only on he street, I wouldn’t bother.

Well, I have read all 88 pages of this thread so if you got a bunch of random likes from me that's why. I still have a bunch of unanswered questions.

    Today I:
    • finished applying fluid film. I found a spot that was more rusted than I had previously thought but still no where near some of the other pictures I've seen. I'm confident that I can keep it from getting worse. Using the small straw to apply was definitely easier.
    • Tried to flush out the power steering fluid but my turkey baster was too big
    • Painted my bed and tailgate caps. Pictures in link below
    • Tightened up window bolt as someone recommended.
    • Checked the tire pressure on the spare.
