Thats what happened on my truck with the seized cams. 4 wheels place had all the ye olde macking tools and couldn’t getter’ dun without cutting and going all new.

Sounds like a thing on our trucks.

Here are a few more pictures from that thread. They are 2nd gen doors but it's the same concept.

I did this on the front doors where I covered most of the inside, and then around the speakers.

Or you can do what this guy did and cover everything. I'm sure this sounds better but is more work/cost. I found that plastic sheet to be a pain to remove without ruining. And that part of the door is uneven and has a bunch of wires you have to work around. It can be done but it's time consuming. If you go on Noico's website they recommend covering the entire door. I'm sure they want to sell more product but they probably know what they are talking about too.

I was wondering about the use of anti-seize on these cams this morning. Guess it won’t hurt!

Another boring day on the truck. Checked fluids for the first time in a few weeks. Everything looks good. Truck purring like always. Buffed off the haze on the inside windows.

Seeing lots of new members here on this site which is cool.

Reminds me of a guy I used to work for that used to call it Amazonian. This was before I had any money and he pretty much gave me the first fix and I was hooked from then on. They used to have more gun parts and as I got more money I was buying all sorts of stuff from the Amazonian haha. Now we will call her big gurl, because like a lady friend she is fun and hard on my wallet.

I didn't know what Amazon was. The guy I worked for got me hooked on it. Now she is a big gurl that empties my wallet.

Sorry I'm sick (again!) and I might not make much sense for a few days.

I want to cover my entire door... but I don’t want to lose the ability to easily service the door... I’m wondering if there’s enough room for some rivnuts and sheet metal to make removable panels to service. Foam seal on the metal and deadener over it to make the door a nice sealedish box for the speaker..

I was changing my oil today and noticed this wet area where the CV meets the diff. Drivers side.

Is this a concern or normal?

    Thanks!

That's one of the reasons I went with a solid 3/4" bolt and adjusted everything with the uppers. I bent mine pretty good getting the rusty cams out. I think maybe 1 came without the help of my plasma.
I'm just now noticing that I don't have any good pictures of the half moon filler pieces I did to make it a solid 3/4" hole. This is the best pic I have, but I ground down the ears around the cam, welded half moon pieces in obround hole, and then did a weld washed of sorts on the bolt side.
