I don't have bent needle nose, and mine aren't that long. Lots of jostling and going up and back down to wiggle it and check again. I think I got lucky, and the plug that goes next to the oil filter just kinda fell through on the 3rd try and from there it was pretty easy.

It’s that time of year “Spring Cleaning” Yep…. My OCD hates to see the oil seeping (especially drivers side) around the valve cover gaskets. Nothing measurable and nothing dripping but it just drives me crazy to see. I took the part numbers you guys provided and they were 100% spot on at my local dealership. I ordered everything to do my valve cover gaskets and will get them done in the near future. Here is what my local dealership charged for parts:IMG_2122.jpg

Yesterday I drove to Dallas and back, from Houston, to pick up 3 more skinny 35" Kendas. Driving up after 1am was awesome.. driving home after 11am was awful. The trip home took 2 extra hours because of traffic off and on, the whole damn way. It got so bad that I took Elvira about 100yrds off road, at one point. The TrueTrac did not disappoint. That wasn't the first and won't be the last time she'll do lowered prerunner duty haha. Because rally race truck...prerun hard AF.
Good thing I had the rear axle loaded down with something like 280lbs
    20250307_113448.jpg

Two of these have about as much tread as another pair I got a while back. One closest to me will definitely have to be a spare. It's pretty shitty. So now I have 7 Kendas... I think I can stop collecting tires and start modding Penelope to fit them now-ish.

Well, apparently for the last 13 years, when I open the door to my ‘05 AC to get out, i give the door a little push with my knee to make sure it opens all the way. The 20 year old door panel finally had enough, and cracked/broke into 5 pieces today.
I pulled it off, cleaned it, and put pieces back on with a thin coat of JB Weld for plastic. Couldn’t be happier with the way it went on and dried, but, it needed more support, so I cut some sheet aluminum, shaped it, and used standard JB Weld to affix it over the entire broken and cracked area, it’s out in my workshop drying as we speak. Fingers crossed.

Great tires. I really liked the set that I had on a previous car. Thinking I'll probably do the same on my Tundra eventually.

Ebay allowed the return. The Hitachi from Rockauto is on it's way. A bit cheaper than Summit.

Despite all that recent work, the MAF sensor is presumably the cause of the noticeable engine performance issues. The report suggests they cleaned it once, but only got a calculated load increase from 65 to 70. It's tempting to get some CRC today and clean it, but I heard that's not recommended.

I've noticed the steering is stiff after the work. I haven't researched it on here or anywhere yet. It's been 13 years and 80k miles since the timing belt was replaced. I'll search on here how to at least take a look at it to see if there's an immediate safety concern. And plan on having that replaced, along with the 17 year old LBJ's. But hoping I can hold off for a few months to replenish a bit after that $4200 hit.

Picked up the find of a lifetime cap, bed Line-X and added a bedrug to the drawers. Drawer fronts getting redone next week.

Also redid a few wires on the dual battery set up. Reinstalled all of my 12v to the bed after the Line-X, rewired the Wolfbox camera and installed the Redarc trailer brake controller. Installed new hood lift struts. Valve cover gaskets done as well. Decided to not install the CS 12 hole injectors.

My biggest Lil man and I are out in the truck tonight playing pokemon go. Driving to our destination, I'll be damned if I didn't hit, and kill a hawk at 7:30 at night.

I can't escape this curse
