Strangely, I was thinking a “mod” party was one where you invite your local (to the area) forum moderator like @Azblue. :notsure:

    Pro tip:
    1. Save yourself major headache and at least an hour of time. Hook up your LED brake light to a power source before installing to make sure all the LEDs light up. #FML I can't believe I didn't think of that ahead of time.
    2. When replacing your light, pull the old one out 6-12", cut its wires - now you have a pull-cord to chase your wires thru, taped to the old lead. This is exceptionally helpful if you have a carpeted shell with wire conduits.
Anyway, those two should explain what I did today. All I can say is: DO NOT BUY "G-PLUS" BRAND LIGHTS FOR YOUR TRUCK CAMPER SHELL! The adhesive tape sucks, and, well, obviously their QC is non-existent. Now I gotta decide: Do I just eat the $25, drop a 1-star review and hope they refund my $25? Or do I buy a replacement, yank this out, and send it back before my Jan 31 deadline? I really don't feel like redoing the work, and the product can't be used again. There's no way in scAmazon to reach the seller, none that I see at least.

Last weekend I spent a few minutes to install a SAIS bypass from Fire Water Marine for $65.99 plus shipping. This was done as preventative mod. I had no check engine lights. Sure enough, no vacuum cleaner sound on cold start. Previously, I've ordered from Rutech and Hewitt for other vehicles but decided to give this one a try because it costs about half.

Interesting. Install looks cleaner from this side, at least.

Yup, it's what I do for used lights. I guess I need to add that to the "always test new lights too" eh.

And wtf, someone signed up again with the username "Shifty" eh?

Wonder if they're sick of getting tagged constantly. Yours is like the dozenth mis-tag I've seen already.

@Bob fixed the last no-post "Shifty" account back in 2023. I didn't know it freed up the name for registration. I noticed someone's been setting up accounts to make jabs at me over the last year or two, which is hilariously childish. I saw "shifty needs a job" and something else that's not coming to mind. I'm sure the new "Shifty" isn't the same situation, but ...

I wrapped in fabric loom tape to the exposed wire and then added a couple zip ties to keep it from slowly unraveling with time and heat. I skipped the wire extension to the starter (I always start immediately after inserting the key) and also skipped the block off plates (preventative mod so the valves are closed).

MJ on backing vocals in that song. IIRC, the lead singer's name was contrived to disguise the fact his dad was super famous in the industry (Berry Gordy?), and his dad got MJ to sing backing vocals because ... he could.

Vinyl wrap. I'm about to do the same, frankly. I don't recommend trying to paint chrome. I found one place on fleaBay that'll paint-to-match a replacement bumper and mail it to you, was around $250 I think?

I feel like there's one more, but I'm not sure it started with "shifty".

You have quite a few members within a few hours of you. All I offered was booze and free food and people drove from 10, 8, and 4 hours away to play. I'd be willing to bet @455h0le_dachshund, @Sirfive, and possibly @Mohoman could come lend a hand. I forgot who else was in that area.

My buddies and I would do that with dirtbikes. Sit around and drink beer and bourbon for 4 hours while we changed one tire

Fuck yeah dude! It took us 4 days for a full suspension rebuild and rear axle bearings. Oh, and the steering rack. Check in on your PMs.

Technically it's just me out of those guys listed. There are a small handful more, but they aren't active often. I've only met one other from this area. And Casey visits the area a couple times a year
