@Baller was nice enough to reference it in his build thread. Here’s the link https://www.tundras.com/threads/tpms-bypass-shut-off-disable.52317/

I’ve read mixed results about the TPMS light staying off permanently or being temporary off. But it could be worth a shot before doing the wire grounding.

Or you could just fix the problem the right way, or the programmatic way and not cut any wires.

Lock actuator driver side - should’ve done it a while back.

That’s how I’ll fix the ABS light at least. I’ll add that a wire was tapped, not cut.
**No wires were harmed in the making of this update. Haha.

I managed to get my ditch lights wired up. I had to get a new wire harness because I ripped mine during install. Harness was quite a bit thinner than the previous one. Both from Rigid.
But, I went to install the button and there was a harness connected to the blank. Has anyone seen this, or know what it could be for?

It’s for whatever function that button normally is used for. I have an AC or I would tell you. AC and DC are different on that panel. My AC order is different too.

Is that a working switch in place of the blank or is the blank still fixed?

If the blank is still fixed, what are you using for your ditch lights switch?

That spot is the on/off switch for the side airbags. Dunno what color wires they would be if that's to them.

Rear side curtain airbags. Our 4r has that switch, supposedly for high angle off-roading so the bags don’t deploy

Toyota lets you turn on and off their side airbags as well? Way to make your passenger behave!

That makes a lot of sense.

I found the same thing to be true in my area as well. I ended up disassembling my lock cylinders and spent about an hour moving the tumblers around (and a bit of filing as well).

I don't know. I've never had to do this before. I didn't make it to the locksmith Friday, but I'll be sure to post on my experience once I do.

One of my previous sedans was prone to warped front rotors and it didn't help that none of the local shops could even spell "torque spec" when it came to installing wheels. One time after a rotation and balance, I broke a Craftsman socket trying to loosen the lug bolts so that I could re-torque to spec. Best guess is that they had put at least 130 lb-ft on what should have been an 85 lb-ft lug. I had a conversation with the owner at that NTB and they paid for new front rotors. After that, I always drove to my dad's house, put the car on jack stands, removed all 4 wheels, tossed them in back of his truck, and took them in for whatever service they needed. It was a pain in the rear, but they never messed me up like that again.

I just installed this cabin air filter mod on my 2006 Tundra DC and it works great. It come with filter medium already but I wanted something a little better so I replaced it with a MERV 8 rated RV vent filter I found on Amazon. I had to trim it as the original is about 4.5 inches and the RV filter is 5.25 inches. I got it from ocd4wd on Instagram. Here's the video on how to install it on YouTube.

Have you checked the foam seals in your ducting? Mine looked like they'd collapesed, even the side i didnt touch. Trimmed down some hvac foam seal tape & added a bent pipe cleaner to fill the gap before & after the ball chiller.

If it works for a Sequoia, theoretically with the same parts, you should have all you need to put it into a Tundra (unless you need to change the ECU).

I think they had to add that button because people were having issues with side airbags randomly going off when people were off-road at extreme off-camber angles.

You didn't notice any performance hit? I saw someone (here maybe, on FB maybe?) who took an air meter and found 25-30% less air speed coming out of the vents when measured with an CFM or air velocity meter or whatever. I feel like the airflow from the OEM fan is anemic enough.

My AC had the blank button wired up like that. Mine didnt come with the fogs from factory, but I threw a fog switch in there and wired up some aftermarket lights and now I have fogs. Everything is wired up factory, just no fogs included.

I am using the blank to put the switch for my ditch lights. I installed the switch and left the wire harness to the side for now.

That’s what I thought but was hoping maybe it’s for heated mirrors. I’ll check out a EWD and see if I can come up with some answers.
