What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

Yeah I was bummed about that. I didn't have the original photo on my phone to compare where I was standing so I couldn't get the same angle either. 1st photo was taken around 4pm, 2nd around 2pm.

I forgot that I ordered door sill protectors. Nothing fancy, but they arrived today. $14.88. Thanks to @shifty` for the p/n I found using search.

 

Do they already have adhesive or do you need to apply your own contact cement?

 

Peel and stick. Just get it right the first time or you'll be in trouble. Its like a giant thin rubber sticker

 

masking tape and a tape measure are your friends

 

I put those on my DC 7 years ago. They hold up pretty well, I think the drivers one is just starting to peel slightly.

Fine for kids but I haven’t transported anyone who’s willing sit back there more than 1/2 hour.

 

In 2 and a half years of AC ownership... my ass has never touched that back seat maybe because i'm 6'3" squatch sized?

 

The trick is to make someone short sit in front of you although at 6’3” it may still be an issue.

Or you could learn how to do a split and spread those legs 170 degrees. haha
