I don't even know who made my gears. Oof. The master install kit is Nitro, but I can't say, lol.

If I ok don’t get my nitro gears soon, I’ll be looking for alternative companies that actually have inventory.

When I talked to Frank he was "I'll see what's available, Nitro and the others are pretty much the same." True or not, I'm pretty sure he didn't warranty junk. I forgot to ask what he went with, I saw Revolution boxes in the shop.

I just ran some Google until the Taco bitches wore me out. Sounds like Nitro is solid, may be the same factory as Revolution. Yukon is solid and may also be the same factory. Motive, etc.

From what I understand both Nitro and Revolution use gears from a company in South Korea referred to as Circle K. I'm not sure if that's the company name or not but you'll see a letter "K" with a circle around it embossed on the gear set. Also I've been hearing some bad things about Nitro lately. Lots of delays, lack of communication, and just poor customer service. I don't know if it's a supplier issue or if new ownership changed things. DPI off-road products acquired Nitro last year and since then Nitro along with Just Differentials has gone to shit apparently. You might be better off looking at Revolution Gear and Axle considering they use the same gear sets.

Hey Oscar, 98 foot pounds. It's pretty awkward to get that much uggadugga when you're under the truck. I found it best to get under and sit up in the ground.

Took this heavy black mat off my tailgate and discovered that the gate is actually pretty light and my lift assist rod actually works now. Also slightly bent one of the latch rods so that it now unlatches the gate and I don't have to jiggle it like a frenetic coke head. And one of the clips holding the rod was broke so I made a temporary one out of wire until I get one ordered.

Then I fixed the driver door "holder-opener". A cow ran into the side of my truck awhile back and something this holder got pulled through the door so I had to fabricate a backplate, weld extensions to the bolts, then shim out with washers. Shoulda got more photos but I was in the flow and forgot.

Is the benefit that they push the LBJ forward an inch so the tire doesn't hit the pinch weld? With the extra caster does it mean aftermarket UCA's aren't needed?

Yes, pushing the LBJ forward will help clear the pinch weld. That should give a great amount of clearance.

The UCA helps with caster but also helps with tire clearance, upper ball joint alignment, and downward travel.

Some aftermarket upper arms (SPC and I think JBA) have alignment adjusters on the upper ball joint. Others are just made in a way that the upper ball joint (or uniball) is pushed back a bit to add caster.

Depending on what shocks (or coilovers) you use, how much height you added, what wheel and tire combo you run, stock UCA may have clearance issues. I wouldn't think of these lower arms as a replacement for upper arms, but more as a compliment to upper arms.

Good idea to retorque those. I didn't do it at 500 miles, but when I got around to it, there was some nut turning going on.

Yup, the u bolts will stretch a bit for the first few hundred miles. I checked mine again after about 2k miles but they were fine.

Not sure if you've got the part numbers or not, but if not, I've got those in here - they stopped making the original clips, but the 2GT clips are beefier and still work:

Yep. As stated above. This will help gain more. I’m maxed out right around 2.5 degrees. They’re saying this will help add an additional 2-3 degrees…

These are very tempting. I just replaced my LCA bushings with OEM bushings 2 years ago so I think I’m set for a bit…

Upgrade UCAs before these lowers 1000%

$1,200 for LCAs? Is it made from unobtainium? Too rich for my blood.

Hopefully it solves whatever ailing high lift issue is present with not having enough caster.

It's fairly priced IMO. Have y'all looked at prices of stock length boxed lower control arms for other platforms like the Tacoma and 4Runner? Dirt Kings cost $1700, Camburgs are $2000, and Total Chaos are $1800-2200. The only thing that is pricey would be to convert the OEM lower ball joint to a uni-ball but that's not necessarily needed. Plus there are essentially no other options in the FGT/FGS market so it's all we're going to get.

for $1200 with bushings and black powder coat its not a bad deal. yes its scary looking compared to stock arms. but this offers a benefit SPC arms can never offer... moving caster at the BOTTOM of the pivot.. with an aftermarket front bumper you can shove that wheel pretty damn far forward and get some beefy tires under the truck

plus solo arms are way stronger than stock arms.

i'm tempted to order a set later this year to get my camber back to 0...

I clock a lot of miles in my Tundra, so if the group is willing to chip in $100 each, I'll buy a set and replace my [new] LCAs with them.

    For science of course.
