You have many hours of quality time with truck coming up

    I just ordered new CV axles and I wanted to pass the "deal" on to you all. I was deliberating between;

    1. CVJ remanufactured
    2. rebooting mine
    3. buying new axles
    4. buying new outer halves and rebooting my inners.

The CVJs are about $300 each with shipping for the high angle. That's a lot for cleanup, new balls, new grease and new boots. But the damn new ones are $450 to $470 each . New outers are about $280 plus inner boot for another $30, but then you get a "half new/have rebuilt" axle, which may have problems down the road. While looking at a few sites for the new axles, McGeorge threw me a $95 discount on each axle!! The price changed before my eyes from $469 to $375. So I ordered two for $375 each. I don't know if it was because they could tell I was shopping other places, or if this is just a deal on axles, so if anyone needs them, give it a try. Oh, also they are charging a $40 core charge now. I have read that Toyota is trying to start up a parts rebuild business and they need the cores to get started.

    hi all,
Haven't reach 50 posts so can't post in buy/sell area.
if you have an OEM skid plate for a 2003 Access Cab, please hit me up. mine's rusted away and looking for one in good condition.
No luck at all the wreckers in car-parts, ebay or European dismantlers, the one for sale in the forum at them moment is for a double cab.

    thanks .

As you continue to look, you might inquire what the actual measurements are. The reason being, mine is a 04 DC Limited and looks exactly like your 03 AC.
Can take measurements of mine if it would help you know an 04 DC is or isn't same.

    Mine before painting....

yeah they are 334.75 , but because they are heavy they charge 80.31 to post them.

any thing I buy at the moment leaves me short to buy something else so Im trying to do it on a budget. for example I need a set of rear springs, if I gett a good second hand one for cheap Ill have money to get those.
thanks for all you guys advice though really appreciated.

Box canyon Florence, DC had some wheelbase issues, not sure if a AC would have done better? We went a different way thru some way tighter and rocky action. A 80 and a 1st gen sequoia were with me but they were way bigger so they didn’t hang up on all the stuff I did. Sliders are 100% worth it!!!!! And as far as I could tell, my exhaust didn’t touch a single thing, high and tight!!!! 10484449-DDB4-405F-AD07-360E8639BC35.jpg139FE2FD-9AE7-47D6-8C24-89A222EDCA3B.jpgCC26D484-3431-4CE9-A515-8F3E111DCCD9.jpgAC7E52C3-F773-4A14-8763-79A2E5F71AA7.jpg994D5DAD-EF2D-41BB-9519-862F41E66813.jpg98A2E0A3-B998-4865-87C7-B793E29C0FAF.jpg

It’s pretty nasty! I think he has coastal front and rear bumpers, maybe skinny 34s
It can get TF down too! I can ask him more.
They claimed he made it thru this tight pass, but said I was too wide? It is capable AF
Monsta liner grey the entire body, haha it kinda looks like primer from far away

It actually was, still the typical stop and wait bull shit with bigger groups, but not as bad. 3 of the rigs were definitely more experienced, so it was nice having them spot. I had to get yanked out of a BS area that my WB screwed me, sharp right turn with a big rock on the right and up a ledge, I couldn’t get over/around it, so I drug some steel! We also went down some pretty steep ledges, and my rear didn’t even touch, I’ll see if the old lady got pics of that “bypass”

Looks like it's time to powder coat those! Then next time you scratch them you can just touch them up with spray paint. That's what I did last time.

I might not be talented or intelligent, but i sure am lucky.
