Ahhh, I'm back.. I am going to order sway bar end links also as long as it's going in for a refresh. Hey Shifty that Toyota oem site with the sale going on...I can't find them on there. Are they just not on there or is it me?

 

Never try to use the national Parts site to find parts. It can lead you to the wrong part. Been there, done that.

Once you go to that EPC site linked in the bulleted parts section, click on "Transmission and chassis", then click on "Front spring & shock absorber".

That will get you to the correct diagram. Then click "Open full size scheme" under the picture to get the big image. In the image, you can hover over the numbers to see the part name, or click the number to see the part number.

Click on the "RH" number here, it will take you to the page with the right hand (passenger) link. Then repeat the process for the LH number. That will get you the number to plug into the Parts system.

As long as you got the part ending in "6" you're fine. The part ending in "7" is for lifted trucks.

The SuspensionMaxx links are fine, they recommend keeping the lower came (the rounded base) parallel to the ground at install.

 

Lift kit removed, Mickey Thompsons are a lot quieter. Bilstein 4600’s, new fluids, valve cover baskets, plugs, oem LBJ, aisin water pump, Timing belt, supermaxxx sway bar links.
If anyone wants an almost new lift kit for a first gen with new tires it’s yours for 200 bucks.

Hey my "d" light in the dash is burned out. is there an led set you can order or a part number for just the little oem bulb?

 

From the community info sticky megathread everyone should use as first reference, note the last bullet point in the lighting info section, specifically referencing 2000-2004 dash (I'll expect you to look there first next time):

• Bumper/grille light options HERE.
• If replacing your housings, alwyas buy "CAPA Certified" products to ensure it's not garbage. For higher-quality brands that last longer offering CAPA certified options, use Depo, EagleEyes, TYC. Some say Akkon make good products.
• If swapping to LED headlights or fog lights, there's a common problem w/high beams & fog lights not working after, unless you add a plug-and-play resistor on at least one headlight - this may not be necessary if your headlight housings have the extra "teardrop light" in the corner of the housing. Problems have been reported with LED tail lights also, it's not just headlights. Some circuits require resistance that an LED doesn't deliver.
• Hyperflash problems are common after swapping LEDs into the turn signals. This can be solved installing a Diode Dynamics flashers (avoid the scAmazon knock-offs, buy direct).
• There are H4 mini-projectors available for our trucks, but you'll need to permanently modify the light housing, no oven-baking required, just remove the hat-shaped chrome shroud inside and install the light (detailed instructions). Likewise there are bake-in options for projectors. Check THIS REPLY for common headlight upgrage options, with links.
• For interior LEDs... There's a breakdown of interior light sizes over here. For climate control lighting updates, see here. Dash gauges for earlier 2000-2004 models with replaceable bulbs, check this. The later year model's dash gauges had on-board LEDs and are not replaceable without soldering, color not changeable without sanding the rear of the guage face. REMEMBER: LED lights are polarized. If you install them backwards, they won't light up! If you have one or more not lighting up, try popping out, rotating 180º, and reinstalling.

 

This is good info, thanks again, I drove after dark last night and there's no light on the dash that shows the headlights are on....I assume it is burned out also

Best be sure to get all brackets and hardware or else you're fucking yourself. You can't by ANY of the mounting hardware from Toyota directly. At least nobody on this forum, across multiple threads, has been able to source hardware, and we have some very parts-savvy folks on here.

 

Almost... I'm removing the Grandpa chrome nerf bars off my 2005 DC this weekend that you could have but I don't think that's going to work for your AC

 

I run same size MT on my RCLB w -4.5 backspacing..no rub at stock rideheight. Nice looking Tundy
