Nice! I’ve been rethinking trying out the 13.3” they have. Or trying the Tesla style. But I really wanted a more flush look originally.

hey all I have a 2019 platinum with JBL and nav. I bought a dasaita hu and some other components I think I might need/use for my install. just checking here to make sure I have everything I need before I start. please let me know. I'm pretty handy when it comes to most things, but when it's car stereos I'm a little lost. I'm trying to ensure my stearing wheel controls, backup camera, USB outlets, factory gps, and factory Bluetooth mic still work. thanks in advance.

here is what I have so far:

the vivid dasaita 11.2 universal headunit

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09KT35D74?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

the dasaita cb407 power wires and canbus adapter

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B087TSSLKC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

    dasaita 2 din dash kit

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BJ2LGXQT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

    a coax adapter

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06Y631SY1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

and a HDMI outlet that I'd install somewhere

The only accessory I got was the CANbus harness. I did add a dashcam, and tpms sensors from Dasaita later.

I need to try that HDMI connection.

    what’s the coaxial adapter for?

Okay it's been a long time but I finally went to attempt to switch from MAX10 to Scout and failed miserably. Anyone else smarter than me? I'm intimidated by the xda forums lol

I downloaded the MCU (3.78 MTCE MCU for me) and firmware and copied onto flash drive. I tried it with both the firmware as a zip file, and also with the "update.img" extracted. I can see the files in the folder on the file explorer on the head unit as well, but when I go click on "system updates" nothing happens either way.... I don't get this pop up "Firmware Updating" like the how to video.

I want to update mine bc of the random BT issues, but this and possibly messing it up is exactly why I’m scared to attempt it.

Well I made it further today. Turns out you have to rename the .zip file to update.zip to get the head unit to recognize it as an update. After that I got the popup as shown in the Dasaita video, but then it errored out and stuck me a reboot screen.

    "Verifying update package...
    E: footer is wrong
Update package verification took 1.9 s (result 1).
    E: Signature verification failed
    E: error: 21
    Installation aborted."

Do the 11.6" or 13.3" sizes come with the same features (besides screen size). What are most running here? Also, is there an updated "checklist" of what is required to install one of these for our trucks?

Yes I did accidentally just do the MCU update first since I didn't have an option for firmware update with file named incorrectly. 3.78 still to 3.78.

might just be the download update file they’re hosting that’s bad. I had that issue with a scout update not too long ago, had to wait for the next update and that one worked fine.
If you really want to switch to scout there’s older versions in the xda forum and then you can just do an OTA update to the newest version.

Good point! Now that I know how to get to the firmware update prompt properly I could try that. Thanks!

Anybody using Apple CarPlay know how to increase the volume for Siri and things like Waze? Other radios you can hit the volume while Siri is talking and get radio and Apple volumes to adjust. My radio only has the one volume.

I was actually coming on here to ask tonight if anybody got their factory TMPS to work thru the HU. I really don't want to purchase the caps if I don't have to. I was going to buy 4 new Dasaita sensors on Day 1 but I was afraid they'd be unreliable. So, wondering if anybody got TMPS to work via the Maestro, etc w/o purchasing after market caps, etc.

I bought the Dasaita cap sensors. Not sure if it’s even capable of reading factory sensors.

I’ve had no issues with mine. Takes it a minute sometimes to connect to all 4 sensors. But no issues for me.

Whenever I did it the HU asked if I wanted to update. Choose yes and format when changing from max to vivid or to scout. What I don't like about changing the ROM is that all apps get wiped and you have to start over downloads and logins. I've been running the launchers instead so I can change between vivid and scout and agama. Is that an option for u? Anybody know if there's any differences between ROM and launcher? It think the both get OTA updates.

Firmware updates in Dasaita forums are all .rar for max and vivid 10. Might be phasing out updates. Anybody know what to do with a .rar file?

It's in one of the menus. I think the advanced settings where you type 226. It's a middle tab. You can change the volume for all inputs and sources

Pretty sure every scout update I've downloaded has been contained in a .zip file each time. The only time I had the issue that blackoutt is having was from updating from scout 2.something to scout 3.0 but they changed the link like a week later and that one worked.
the current vivid10 download link is a .zip too. you can use WinRAR to unpack the .rar and put it in a .zip

I think I’ve went into the car—-factory—-voices and changed all of those volumes. Doesn’t seem to change it for me.

Sorry, I have the 10.2 so not sure about the 11.6 or 13.3.

but when you purchase for the Tundra I would think it would come with the necessary bezel. You would need the appropriate CANbus harness.

when I bought mine it was literally the radio and CANbus harness and that was it.

Does anyone have comparison pics of the 10/11/13" screens? I'm thinking of going with the 10 for a more OE look.

I installed a Dasaita 10.2 in my 2011 Tundra about a month ago. Everything works great, even the factory back up camera that originally was in my rearview mirror. Is their a way to show the back up camera while driving? I've clicked on the F-cam app and changed it to the rear camera but it's just a black screen with a yellow exclamation sign. The camera works great when I put it in reverse.
