How have they performed for you in the snow so far?

We haven't had much snow to speak of but the little bit we have had they've chewed right thru. We got 4 inches of wet, heavy snow and then it got cold and froze underneath and they bit in very well. I'll be in the U.P. Christmas day and may get an opportunity to run them in some deeper stuff. They've got a couple of feet up there.

Yes please report your findings on snow. I wanted to go on vacation over the holiday break, but things happen and I am staying home with family this break... I hope to get out maybe in February. Did do quite a bit or rain driving at highway speeds though and the tires remain quiet and handle almost as if the roads were still dry. Good grip. Still happy with these tires; they are a good fit for my needs so far it seems. Let the kids by tires based on looks; I need tires that check the boxes as best as possible and so far I like these better than the BFGs I ran for ages on my previous two trucks. The handling in the wet is night 'n day.

I'll definitely let you know how they do once I get into some good snow. I'd go out on the bay and test them but I'm just not that ballsy lol. Two guys dropped their trucks through the ice yesterday...crazy bastards!

Ballsy or stupid? Growing up in MN and seeing those fools 100 yards from open water has me voting for stupid.

What size lift do you have on your rig? 35 offset on the rims? I have the same ones and I noticed you were able to keep your mud flaps.

They are the 35 offset but as far as lift goes I'm trying to figure that out myself. Pretty sure its the standard leveling kit (center of hub to fender is 23) and for some reason the previous owner also put in a diff drop...? Along with the leveling kit I have KYBs which I'm researching now on what to switch it out with. Happy to take any measurements if that helps.

Yup that sounds like a 2” leveling kit. Any rubbing with those tires? They look great!

Nope, no rubbing in either forward full lock or reverse. I'd have to take some pic's as I know I'm close on clearance but just enough to clear.

Installed mine 2 weeks ago. Had a local shop balance them twice with no luck. Lots of vibration Found another shop with roadforce. They are smooth as can be now. So far so good.

exceeded expectations in wet conditions. Waiting for more snow to test them in that category

At Discount Tire right now getting a flat repair on my wifes Armada :anonymous:.

I asked for a quote on the AT3's for her car as well as a set of 295/70/18's for my Tundra. I was quoted $1,555 for mine with the warranty. How does that compare to what you guys paid out the door?

If I were to account for the warranty certificates (75/tire) that’s about how much I would have been out the door for mine (same size).

Thanks. Looking to upgrade to these real soon. Just need to throw on my coachbuilder shims and shackles first to make a little more room.

Just had these AT3 XLTs installed for 2 weeks now. Love them; they ride great. Just wondering what air pressure are you running? My installer inflated them to 33 psi. I told him that seems low but he says 33 psi was recommended. I currently have them at 42 psi, but the ride seems stiffer. Ride was great at 33 psi.

I'm running that size as well. I started at 38 lbs but after chalk testing a couple of times I have them at 44 lbs. Alot of tire places will tell you that 33 lbs is recommended because that's what is on the sticker in the door jamb. 33 is fine for a P tire but too light for an LT. Even at that, 33 in a P is more of a "comfort" inflation level but isn't necessarily the best poundage for the best performance and longevity of the tire.

I am debating with 295.70.18's vs 285.65.18 vs 275.70.18 I have 18x9 +12 with a 2" level, I do not want to delete or cut my mudguards, but I am willing to use a heat gun to push it in where it will be rubbing. Does anybody have similar wheel offset or even 0 offset using this tires and kept the mudguards?

    Thanks!

If you have those wheels on the truck, then you need to start measuring clearances. Put the wheel at full lock and see how much clearance you have. There seems to be just enough variance in these trucks that your best route is to start with measuring. It's not exact when comparing to different tire sizes but it's a start. You have three very different tires sizes listed there. A 285/65/18 is almost stock. Your + offset isn't helping you though.

I had +6 270/75/18 2 inch level and rubbed like crazy front and back. I unloaded the wheels for +25 same tire and I’m good. I’m going to stick with the 275/70/18 for two reasons. I don’t see a massive difference between those sizes and the cost is lower for the 275.
