I have the exact same amp....it fits fine under the front passenger seat.

Once you run the power cable honestly it's all plug-n-play and it should take you about 5 mins to set up the DSR1 and amp.

Any chance you took a pic of the install?

One thing I would've done differently is flip the amp 180 degrees. The adjustments in the picture above point towards the top of the pic (center of car) and it would be much easier to make adjustments if they pointed towards the door.

I'm currently piecing my stuff together too. The speaker harness you mentioned, is it this one?
    https://shop.tech12volts.com/product.sc?productId=533&categoryId=32

I've been trying to get an answer on the same thing in other threads, literally "what connects an aftermarket amp back into the factory wiring to the door speakers?" but haven't gotten a solid reply.

But also seeing this https://www.autoharnesshouse.com/41112.html -taken from the sticky post https://www.tundras.com/threads/how-to-add-a-new-amp-to-your-3rd-gen-tundra-jbl-entune-system.22527/ - which looks like it will do the same, for much cheaper?

To answer your question on the amp install kit, either of them look fine to me, I'm partial to the KnuKoncepts stuff personally, (the cheaper of the 2 options you posted) I've used them on previous audio installs without issue.

So i just installed this last week. To answer your question :

You need a Maestro aTO3 harness which plugs into your factory JBL amp wires.
    That goes to your DSR1
Drs1 wires or RCA cables and remote wire go to your amp
You cant use factory power and ground wires to your amp because the gauge is too small to support the power draw.

Honestly best purchase ever for me. I went through James and he was really helpful during the install.

I'm re-reading this entire thread and this was posted earlier and actually answers the question I've been looking for. No one person has said it like this to make sense. That TO3 cable does both apparently. TO3 Plugs in to factory wiring to take signal from headunit into the DSR1 AND it also takes the from speaker out from the aftermarket amp to send back into factory wiring for door speakers? If that's true thats perfect.

I spent the day today getting my DSR1 and amp installed. I have a question about what I’ve done:
My Perfect Tune app says that because I have the DSR flashed to my ride it can’t tune my system. Is this what everyone else’s DSR says? Is there something I missed in my setup?

    thanks

Doesn't sound right. James setup my DSR1 but when I go into it with Perfect Tune the only thing I can't use is the basic tune option - it forces me to use the advanced option and says that's because I have a T03 harness. I can adjust the EQ, time delay, etc.

Not trying to be smart, but you did flash it first before install, correct?

Reread your post. You did flash. Not sure..

FWIW...there isn't much in there I find useful. The time delay is buggy in that the initial distance inputs just change when you save them. You can adjust them using the incremental inputs and they will save correctly but I didn't notice much difference. I've been playing with AudioTools and the signal output of the DSR1 is pretty flat across all frequencies so I do see the need to mess with the EQ. High pass and low pass filters are set at my amp and while you have more control with the DSR1 it's easier to set at the amp. So as best I can tell you want a flat output from the DSR1 so you can adjust at the amp/HU.

...and you did select 2019 when you did the flash?

I also did all my adjustments at the amp first. I wasn't hearing what I wanted to hear so I thought I need to make the adjustment in the DSR.

thanks for the feedback. It helps. I think I need to watch some tutorials about tuning my amp

yes, there is a grommet on the passenger side, but then you have to route the power wire through the engine compartment. I was trying to figure out how to do this on the weekend and ended up going through driver side because the wiring in the engine compartment is so much easier. you can just route the power under driver seat over to the passenger side.IMG_1487.jpg IMG_1489.jpg

It took me 3 mins to route the power wire through the engine bay...it's as easy as unscrewing and re-screwing 5 plastic fasteners. This looks MUCH more challenging. Now that you are where you are....where do you go from there? Honestly, your only real option going through the driverside grommet was to then run it through the dash but if you want it to look good and be safely tucked away you have to get it to the passenger side and run it through the kick panel and door sill. It'd be easier to start over and go through the passenger side grommet IMO.

planning to route it under the carpet and seats to the location of the factory amp under the front passenger seat. I did not like the idea of the power supply running through the engine bay because of heat. It will be invisible when I am done, I just ran the power so that when the amp arrives later this week, I can jump plug it in. Going through the fire wall is the same either side, passenger side possibly easier because there is more working room on that side of the engine.

i routed it straight across from the driver door under driver seat and center console to passenger seat area. I pulled seats out and lifted carpet to put sound deadening mat on the floor, so it was easy to route it this way.

I wound up creating my own AMP mount with an ABS board. The one I received from James only held the AMP and I had clearance some challenges with clearance with the passenger seat motor. Built mine to hold both DSR1 and AMP.
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/my-stereo-install-tech-12-volts-hertz-kit.75810/page-3#post-2193190

Otherwise, James kit does include everything you need.

Anyone have any pictures of which factory plugs from the floor where the factory amp is plugs into which ends of the T03 harness for the dsr1 or which color wires connect to what?

Will the DSR1 with the T03 Harness work for a 2019 CM with Non-JBL system??? My truck does have a cheap factory amp under the passenger seat. I wanna just throw an amp and subs in for now, this the best way for me to do it myself, I'd like to order the DSR1 and T03 cable through James @Tech12volt but he's currently out of stock on these. He does sell a harness for 2014+ Entune with or without LOC 2ch or 4ch, but I don't know if that'll work for what I want to put in. I'd like to run 2-JL 12s with one of his boxes, and an amp big enough to push em. Can't decide if I want to just go Mono amp for now or get the 5ch so I can switch out door speakers later on. Gonna have to kinda piece it together, can't drop $1200-1500 all at once on this thing. Thanks

You don’t need a dsr1 if non jbl you can get adapters that plug into factory harness and connect straight to the amp from there that’s how I did in my 2016 non jbl

I'm about to add a DSR1 & amp for the doors/front area to my Kenwood system, I have a mono sub amp running the sub direct from the Kenwood. I assume there is no reason to run the sub through the DSR1?

I'm also confused by the DSR1 speaker wires I assume that are going to the new amp's speaker outs saying they are input.

I think from what I have read here it means they are going into the DSR1 & then out to the OEM harness which will feed the speakers connected to that OEM harness?

    Thanks

When you say “kenwood system” do you mean a kenwood head unit? If so, why are you running a dsr1 and not just rca’s from your head unit to your new amp?
