I added a fair bit of self expanding weather stripping on the tailgate and cab side.

Undercover UltraFlex came in at the beginning of the week and got it put on yesterday evening. Took me about 2 hours but I wasn’t moving in a hurry.

What size tires do you have on your wheels? I want to upgrade but not sure if I’ll get a complete new set of wheels and tires. Can you send more pics?

Happy to report my OEM cover arrived yesterday and installed last night. Took a month from order placed to delivery/pickup. As expected, nearly identical to my last MX4 on my previous truck. Good product.

Sorry to hear it - apparently parts availability has been a regional thing, too. Bed steps are another heavily backordered item and different regions are seeing better luck with those. Hang in there, worth the wait.

Just chiming in as I installed my Pro X15 Truxedo soft roll up cover today.

It was mentioned before and I can confirm it again.

The cover CANNOT close with the tailgate up as intended, you need to close the cover before putting the tailgate up.

This compromises the seal at the back of the truck.

The reason is the rail for the cover flexes when trying to close the cover and if the tailgate is up as intended it interferes with the latch system as you lose the tolerance required to latch the cover.

I am going to keep the cover because, I am in Canada and covers for this truck are hard to find right now, and I need one for work purposes.

But I would stay away if the above description is a deal breaker for you.

OEM tri-fold, with a custom cut/fit Thule XSporter Pro + 4x bike racks.

I can take better/close up pics, if anyone is interested enough, after the rain stops.

Closes ok? Does your tailgate open via remote still? I love them look of it but the prices are a little high

it is nice so far. I’ve never had one before, always camper shells. It looks clean, operates easily.

I fully expected the tailgate to not open with the button or remote, and neither of those have happened. Works every time.

    I agree it is pricey.

by the way - I left my truck at the airport and left town for 4 days, came back and the tailgate opened no problem, no silicone used :)

Also - the holes are there, however they are quite small, has anyone figured out a way to attach the drain tubes without drilling?

If you have problems getting the cover to latch after closing tailgate you'll likely need to place something in the gap between rail and truck bed near the latch mechanism. Picture below is an example of what i placed there. Latches great now, eliminating the flex that made latching a challenge

Awesome. Thanks for the picture. I saw where you and another person on here had that issue. I'll find out if mine does tonight. Other than that everything good with it so far?

Yeah I like the cover. Once you get the tension right it sits nicely and the low profile is great.

I have replaced the Extang Exceed with the Bakflip F1. It took about 1 ½ months to actually get it delivered, but it finally came this weekend. I got it on today. It seems like it is half the weight, I think I'm going to really enjoy the polycarbonate. I'm not crazy about the shiney finish, but it's not terrible. It is lower profile than what I had anticipated. I will give the Extang credit, it did cover slightly more on the cab end, F1 not bad, but doesn't cover the entire top bed rail like the Extang.

Two faults I've found with Bakflip is the miscut piece they sent. Not a huge deal because it's covered, but dang...over $1000 I'd expect any screw ups to be my own! Also, the instructions they include are for previous years models. It's not rocket science, but again, include proper instructions. They had 3 different types and numbers of foam spacers included, none of which are specified in the instructions. It says put 3 to protect the cab, but don't indicate which ones. No idea where the others go.

So I still haven’t been able to get an answer on this….

Can I load a quad into the bakflip cover?

Concerned about the force of the quad pushing into that little 4th panel part of the cover. Like the idea of having the folded up part to protect the window from the quad

Just installed my tonneau. It's a GXT-89419 - Gator Tailback Tonneau. It has brackets that slide into the deck rail to lock it down. I'm happy with it. I'm sure it won't be 100% water tight but good enough for what I need.

BakFlip MX4 checking in. Finally got it after 2 month wait. Word of advise if you're installing yourself- slide the 5 silver brackets into the new rail before you bolt it to the bed. If you bolt the brackets first then you're going to have a hell of a time trying to get the new rail in.

This is where I put the 2 of the extra foam spacers. The smallest spacers I believe are supposed to be stuck on the exterior of the last panel (tail gate). They're supposed to keep that panel and the one next to it from rubbing when you have them opened.

yes it’s possible, the 4th panel won’t push all the way to the cab. Alternatively you can remove the entire cover by hand.

im more worried about the quad pushing into the 4th panel and damaging it...

ive had a couple extangs in previous trucks and would simply take them on/off when putting the quad in. would be cool this time if i didn't have to do that
