    I wont.

I want the Sequoia lights, just need to know what level of compatibility the 2nd Gen'rs are looking at.
Plug'n'play or aftermarket harness required or OEM conversion parts.

Thanks for the response @Roman. I seen someone post about needing two of these 90980-10897 ( https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-housing-connector-f-9098010897 ) so I was thinking about adding them to the order to save on shipping, but I can wait until we see a nice harness being produced.

    Thanks!

I got three sets in today. They should be rolling in periodically within the next few weeks or so.

Finished the retrofit this afternoon and went for a ride this evening. Here's a quick video taken on dark back road. I start out with low beams, then switch on the Morimoto LED Fog lights, then the high beams. I did the "anytime fog light" before, so you'll notice I have the fog lights with the high beams together.

I have been keeping a close eye on this thread. After seeing the light output pics, it doesn't look to be much brighter than the halogen lights. They look great yes but whats the point if its not gonna provide decent output. I would love to get my hand on a pair of these and compare them to the retrofits.

Pictures and videos imo do them no justice. I just checked a new tundra out and the headlights/drl's look sweet at night.

What's your in person opinion of them? From the video the output doesn't look impressive.

Nice. Thanks for the share. Wish you had a stock Tundra holegens to compare with. How much brighter would you say it is compared to holegens. Some wall pics would be sweet too to see the cutoff on them.

I’m happy with them. These headlights are far better than the stock H4 halogens, but still a step behind a good HID setup. I loved the output of my Mini D2S retrofit, but sometimes I felt like they were too bright and I was needlessly blinding people. With the Halogens and these LED headlights, I need to drive with the fog lights to help brighten up the sides of the road. With the HID’s I didn’t. The High beams are impressive and cast the light farther down the road than I had thought they would. Overall, I like the appearance of these lights better than my HID retrofit and the DRL’s are sweet too. If I had to do over again, I probably would, and with the way I have the harness set up, I can easily convert back to my HID setup in a matter of minutes if I ever decide I want to.

Here are a few more pics. The ones in the garage are taken 25ft from the door.

Thanks for sharing your experience with them. I have to agree with you with those looking better than any retrofits ive done. I would prefer those headlights but light output for me is more important. Have cane along way over the last 5 years. Though they still won't be as bright as hid for a while though it's getting close. Said by 2022 led should be as bright as led.

The benefits of led are definitely worth the price as well. To me the light output of those leds seem to be similar to the budget retrofits I was doing. Better than halogen for sure. Pictures never can capture the real output of the headlights, but it atleast gives everyone an idea.

I recently drove the new Escalade and got a chance to see those headlights at night. They are about the same as all the other led headlights.

Honestly, I think Toyota should of went with a projector based led headlight instead of sticking with reflector based. That would of focused more light output in the areas that's needed and not waste light.

I'm in the same position. I have a retrofit now with some FXR projectors on my truck that has a 7 inch lift and 37's. They are aimed down, but I still feel like I'm blinding people too.

I'm not happy with the finish of my retrofit. I have dust like specs on the paint and the lens isn't clear either. I might have been looking for a reason to replace them and this LED headlight was the perfect reason.

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum and may have silly questions already answered somewhere else or in the past, so I will apologize ahead of time.
I have a 2017 1794 Edition whose headlights basically suck, which is why I am here looking for some solutions.
From what I can gather from the above comments is, It sounds as though that the new 2018 headlights ordered from Toyota would be a good upgrade with minimal fitment issues...avoiding the need for retro-fitment (time, cost, etc.) of the present lights. Is this a correct assumption? Would they be "plug and play"or would they require wiring harness modification? (If so is there an additional harness/solution available?)
Thanks! I really love my Tundra but the headlights just really are sub-optimal!

You’ll need to fab a new connector. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks. I will follow along as it sees like someone will or has that connector solution and share...as this is a common problem.

You better read this thread there are guys running those LED headlights already, they offer good info to make them work in previous Tundra versions

@Roman Is there black and chrome headlights in the new 2018 Tundras? Not sure I know some of the SR5 come with Pro style black headlights with LED DRL strip like the platinums and 1794 in older models but still H4 halogen bulbs, but not sure about the all LED ones

Yep, you'll receive an email with the tracking number.

There are standard halogen headlights for the 2018 SR and SR5.

    Yes, they're chrome.
