2018 OEM LED Headlights

Yea I would want all of the housing to be black, including the area by the side marker. Is there a different part number for the all dark housing? @Roman ?

 

I think this is the same color that was in the 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Headlights I had those in my Tacoma and was a kind of dark/smoked chrome is the same color in our new Tundra LED Headlights

 

AH yes it's more of a black chrome than a bright chrome.
@paulphilly can you take a photo of this area on your plat led headlamps?

 

I have seen a TSS in my local dealership and they are slightly different, mine is darker not too much but is different. I forget to take pictures to share but I hate dealership guys when they are in a rush to sell you a new car so when I see them coming in I prefer to leave immediately, they don't understand that if I need a new car I'll look for them , I don't want to make the mistake to be convinced for one of them and trade my loved TRD Pro.

I want by my local dealership. They pulled up the parts and quoted two different ones... one was around 600+ and the other was 400+ (which looks like you dealerships MSRP). Got me thinking though is there a different assembly for the 1794/platinum that has the headlight leveling motor with it?

Just a random thought, like many others here I like the look of the new lights, that’s why I ordered some, the only thing I would like more is if the housing was actually black instead of chrome. Like my pro lights.




So, since apparently there’s a new pro coming, imagine if it came with actual black housing led headlights and not these black chrome..........imagine that!

All of this is just me speculating so don’t take it for truth.

Looks like the 2018 Sport Tundra is in trouble, expect delays on since @Roman are killing their supplies inventory, not a surprise if Toyota decides to rise prices on the new LED headlights at some point soon to slow the demand I hope not but hurry up guys if you are planning to go this way instead of retrofits.

 

You'll need to get in your Delorean and travel about 88mph to get those.

 

Any idea on how many you have sold to date Roman? Just curious

Also on a side note there is a set on eBay for sale with quite a bit of a markup for some one who must have them now

 

I'm getting ready to install my headlights as soon as I get my plugs delivered but I was wondering if I should get my headlights protected while they are off the truck. What are people using for headlight film?

 

About 70 sets, give or take. Still taking roughly a week or two to get them in.

No, I'm not selling the harness. I believe there are several people that are putting those together now, but I'm unaware of any that are readily available.

So I saw this thread and was just blown away at how the community comes together to help everyone out. I am new to the forum and hope that I can pick everyone's brain. I have a 2016 trd pro I love the new 2018 led headlights and want to change to them. Does anyone know somebody that is actively making a conversion harness? Whether it's an online retailer or someone on the forum I don't really care just as long as it works. I would like to have the led drl light up along with my yellow amber lights when I first turn my car on. Is that even possible? From the research I know I need part number 81110-0C210 and 81150-0C210 plus the harness. Is that correct or am I missing something? Thank you in advance for the help I really appreciate it.

Hello Roman, just got my headlights in today but one of them is “smoked”. I ordered both chrome. I emailed Toyota Cool Springs this AM but didn’t get a response. Any way I can get this fixed? Thanks!
