No new updates. Everything dealer will not agree to a group buy as they will lose too much money. I can only offer a group buy on the harnesses during this time

 

Hey I have a stupid question but I have a 2018 sr5 model it doesn’t have the full led head lights just the led day running lights if I buy the 2018 led head lights do I need a special harness considering mine is a 2018? Uploading a pic of my current lights

 

Yeah you are goin to need a harness for the platinum model if I recall.

 

Hi everyone. The '18 LED headlights and fogs are next on my list and have already ordered the harness. Awesome reviews and pics! Seems like most of you have installed the black version and they look great! Does anyone have a Silver Sky Metallic truck with the silver version installed? If so, could you share some pics of the truck and closeups from the fender side? Since I have a '16 Platinum, I'm trying to decide between the black "sport" version and the "Platinum" silver version. Thanks!

 

I’m curious also. Am leaning toward black version of my silver sky.

 

I dont have any pictures, but the black headlights will look best with the silver sky. Note that theres only a little black inside the sport headlights compared to platinum. Its not a big different as theres still alot of chrome in the "black version".

Just installed the headlights today, but I got problems which is only the driver side one. The passenger side was on at all. Any thoughts?

 

Just figured it out that I connected the lowbeam in the wrong way. Now the lights are good now. Very happy witht he results. Thanks Eledobleu

 

'18 LED Black Headlights and fog lights installed on a Silver Sky Metallic Tundy. Took my time and took 4 hours - did everything at one time. Checked and adjusted headlight aim as driver side headlight was a little too high. Then reinstalled all of the panels, and grille. Thanks to everyone who posted fog and headlight removal DIY / tips. They greatly helped. Not to mention the installation instructions and quality harness from the group buy!

 

Question for everyone who has installed these, what bulbs are you using for the front turn signals?

I decided to stick with the bulbs that shipped with the lights - and NOT clip the gray DRL wire so they stay on. Here's why. LED produce a lot less heat to the front. I wanted to keep a small heat source in the lamp enclosure to keep ice and snow melted off the face in the winter.

 

Does anyone know if these pnp harnesses and 2018 led headlights are compatible with the NSV hood bulge light bar?

I live in Mass. Can anyone tell me if by adding the 2018 lights to my 2016 if I will be able to get an inspection sticker? I had a problem when I added aftermarket lights to my 08. Made me put them back to stock before I could get sticker.

 

I am not a lawyer, so appropriate disclaimers aside...I am counting on being able to get an inspection sticker for my 2016 also...my thinking is, since these are OEM headlights/fogs, they are technically not aftermarket and should be considered an upgrade OEM product by anyone that asks and are DOT compatible just like original OEM headlights/fogs. This is one of the main reasons I bought these headlights/fogs from Toyota vs other sources.

 

I'm sure you have been asked this question many times but I don't have time to read the whole thread...if I order the harness from you for my 1794 do I need to buy anything else for the install like that moromoto...spelling.....box or does it come with the harness....if I must buy it separately where do I buy it from and what is the model I need?

Eh, two of the wires on the driver side connector came out very easily with a little tug.. otherwise very please with this!

Hi Phil, I have a Platinum, so I ordered the Platinum/1794 harness package and it included everything I needed to complete the installation (except the LED headlights, of course). If you have a 1794, this is what you need...contents are listed on the order page:

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

• 2x PNP Conversion Harnesses High/Low Beam
• 1x LED DRL PNP Harness For None Platinum/1784 (Replaces Amber DRL with Stock LED’s) (Amber DRL Delete Mod Optional) This is not needed for Platinum/1794
• 1x Morimoto H4 Motocontrol Relay Harness

Not being sarcastic, but I WOULD recommend you read the page referenced above. It will take you 5 minutes tops and explains what you will get...

 

Theres 2 wires coming from the Motocontrol that are exactly the same - I had the wires crossed. Swapped them around and it works fine now.

You will need the harness for the Platinum or 1794.
