Yes I've been talking to him on Facebook. Trying to figure this out as I have ihacker harness and the 2018 lights. About to pull the trigger on the NSV but not if it doesn't work right...

@iHacker he says he doesn't use the purple wire at all?? Hopefully he chimes in as I am definitely not the expert....

What problems were y’all having? I had no problems when I first started playing with it or dimming. I also switched the wires at the bulb connector. But did away with the purple wire completely cause I didn’t like the nsv drl’s with the headlight drl’s.

I couldn’t get the drl in the lightbar to dim and it would blow my rear tail running lights fuse.
I tried pulling the purple wire and the drls in the bar wouldn’t dim but no popped fuse.
You got the drls in the bar to turn off just by deleting that wire?

    Thanks
    Joe

Yes I know that's a great deal. Waiting for confirmation of how it will work the led lights before I order.

Did you switch the wires at the bulb connector also with the purple wire removed like he said above?

Did you reconfigure the nsv pins on both ends of the pigtail harness as you did on the factory harness? Remember you swapped the purple & white/blk wire on the factory harness so that also needs to be done on the nsv both ends. The blue pigtail they send if for the platinum/1794 only since they don’t have a purple wire at the 3 pin connector.

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
I have the nsv and am about to install the 18 headlights with the ihacker harness.
are you saying there is no longer a wire to jump the marker lights? Or does the dimming function work differently?

As long as you repin the the factory harness for the turn signal bulb and so the same on the nsv t harness it will function and dim as supposed.

    I didn’t.

I was only trying to remove the jumper wire to make it work.

I did remove my purple wires to make the headlights work.

I’ll have to give this a shot.

Probably not going to do it before someone else tries to install though. I’ve already installed and uninstalled these lights twice.

    Thanks

Ok @inferno_pro_satx I'm gonna order my NSV light.

Just to confirm the changes I need to make in order for it to work are:

1.repin the factory turn signal harness from how I currently have it configured to make the 2018 lights work. ( currently have 1. White w/ black stripe, 2. empty, 3. pink or red depending on side) pics of how they are wired below.
    2. repin the NSV t harness to match this change
    3. Disconnect the purple wire that I currently have connected (not in the pics) and just tape it off.
    4. Don't use the jumper as it's for plat/1794 only.

Does that all sound right? This will allow the drl's to still be bright and then dim when I turn the headlights on and will also allow the NSV light bar drl's to do the same, bright she headlights are off and then dim when the headlights come on.

Yes you have it correct, you can repin the purple you currently have unpinned and remove the blue pin at the nsv bulb only bulb side leaving the other end in so the nsv drl’s dim. Because currently with the purple removed your amber parking lights are not on at night.

Don’t use the jumper at all

NSV hood bulge lightbar installed. Pretty easy install, little tricky on the wiring due to having the 2018 lights and harness but @inferno_pro_satx helped me out tremendously. I'll post up some output shots later on.

You can put a single row light bar in there but you'll be cutting your hood bulge. Light output might not be as good. There's no cutting with the NSV and it comes with the replacement switch panel (looks OEM) and it has swipe and strobe functions. Well worth the money to have a factory fit and finish as well as cool features. Just like anything else, you get what you pay for.
