When we had our new to us 2000 Tundra 4WD inspected, one of the items we had on the list was "rear bed support mount" it is noted that it is rusted and needs to be replaced.

They pointed out to my son the round looking mount below the bed. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as a replacement? Non of the big box stores seem to have them. Searching "rear bed support mount" returns 38 pages of ads for bed mounts, like for securing cargo etc. Thanks google.
I did see a "body mount" listed at one of the parts store sites, but it said "front" and didn't look right to me. (It had a long bolt in between two bushings like a sway bar link...the mount we need is more of a pancake or hockey puck I guess.

    Thanks in advance!
    Nate

Post up pictures if you can! Are you a regular cab (2 door) or an Access Cab (2 full doors, and 2 half doors)

Need pics of what you're referring to. And your cab type since parts vary wildly between some cabs, cab type and drivetrain type are hugely important info.

Info on how to use the Toyota Parts system is here.

If you're a new owner, I can't urge you enough to read this thread, yes it's long, but you'll come out a better, more knowledgeable person on the other side.

It's the SR5 with the two half size doors in the back. 4.7 V8, 4WD, TRD etc .I just crawled under there, and I do see the round looking mount at the rear of the cab area, but that doesn't look bad to me. Ill have to get my son to point it out to me again when I can. Now that I look under there, one of the cross beams that the bed sits on is rusted on one end where it hits the body. (thin looking, not like a frame part, there are several running across along the length of the bed, with little flat rubber pads between them and the bed itself.
Wonder if thats what they meant by "Rear Bed Support Mount", that almost makes more sense. Replacing that seems like....a chore. If that is the case, I will be crawling under there and weld a patch plate in and paint it up nice.
It sucks because I am a mechanic, (industrial by trade) and have been working on cars for 30 plus years. But it was my non mechanic son who we got the truck for, and he was the one who took the truck in for inspection. So even when I asked him that day, he seemed to not exactly know.

The mechanic at the shop probably wont remember, (its been a few weeks) but maybe I will give him a call. I know these things have rust issues underneath, this one is not hateful though. And, I have (not kidding) TWO other of my offsrping's vehicles sitting in my driveway at the moment. One is just parked there because they can't bear to get rid of it (secretly hope I wind up with it) and the other I am doing the brakes on. Oh what fun to be the family mechanic.
