Love this set up and the truck overall! How does the ride quality compare to stock?

Axe Offroad Chaos wheels in a 17x9 with Mickey Thompson mud terrains 35x12.50. These were tricky to balance since the caliper is so close to the wheel.

Method bronze 305. I don’t like that water gets stuck in the lip of the rim

I haven’t particularly noticed any sway on the highway, it feels just as planted as stock in my opinion and I’ve had it around 90mph indicated on the speedometer at 36psi for a smoother ride.

Welcome…now that you showed us you got to tell us a little bit about your components

-Lift height/type…looks higher than the typical 3/1 we have been used to

    -tire size and wheel combo

    -anything else

I can't remember the metric size on the tire but it is basically a 34.8 inch x 11 tire. The wheel is an 18x10 -24 and the lift is a 3.5 inch rough country. That is all that's done to the truck other then tint of course.

I've got a WCP Platinum with retractable running boards. I've got the Wescott 3/1 ready to be installed, will go with BFG KO2's probably and am trying to figure out which offset to go with. I'm worried that any poke is going to result in the sides of the truck getting peppered with rocks and road crap. I've heard the WCP is a beatch to repaint if needed. Anybody have experience or thoughts? Sounds like +35 has little to no poke but I like the look of 18 and 20 also.

WCP is extremely difficult to match if you need to repaint. I would agree with that statement. You could clear bra the rockers and then you should really need to worry about it that much. I know with my -24 setup I had to remove the front mud flaps. Makes me a little nervous but I was going for a certain look. My truck is a lease truck and so I am not as concerned. In three years I will build another and will probably be a little more conservative with my fitmant.

Sounds like you might be a 285/75/
18…the skinny 35’s as they call it

I have +12 on this truck and +18 on my last truck (2015 Tundra)…I drive (slowly) on gravel once per week and normal driving the rest of the time.
My off-road is about once every 2 weeks currently and once per week on the last truck as travel to my Mt. Bike spots…I can’t say that I have experienced any issues that caused me to think that my limited poke caused those issues.

You may use your truck differently that warrants your concern but I would say to pick your +18 or +20 in your rim of choice and you should be ok/happy

OVERLAND.OFFGRID has a nice set up with some DIY Husky Liners. Not a bad idea to tame down the rock slings. Opens up your options to the more aggressive offsets.

Does anybody have 35x12.5r18 on these wheels, or does anybody know if they will fit without rubbing?
I believe I read somewhere that they'll rub on the UCAs, can anybody confirm that?

I’m currently divided on just replacing stock 265/70/18 on my sr5 or increasing size to 275/70/18 but don’t want to mess with replacing the spare or going with load E and the mpg hit that will come from those extra 10lbs per tire.

    Does anyone know of a non-load E 275/70/18?

I did run my 35's on those wheels before purchasing my current wheels. I run (like was stated above the skinny 35) so not 12.5. They rub pretty bad on the stock wheel. They hit the sway bar and shorten you're turning radius

You can run 295/70/18 with no problems though…vary from about 34.4-34.6 depending on brand and around 11.8 or so.

I did those on bone stock wheels/suspension and you have full turning radius and no rubbing

Ok my turn... sorry for the dirty truck! I put General Grabber ATX 285/60/20's on my SR5 TRD Sport w stock rims, no lift or level.

Really happy with the results... looks great and the ride height and feel while driving is much better than before, feels a lot more like a truck! Used a GPS speedometer on my phone on the way home and there was literally no variance from what the vehicle displayed whether I was highway or town, but lost about 2.5mpg on the trip computer.

Thanks to all who share their knowledge around here, very good and helpful forum. There aren't a lot of 285/60/20 photos on this thread, so hopefully this helps someone along the way.

@crowdedstr - Looks good! I may have to just get some new tires like that for my truck to look better. lol No rubbing anywhere? I have the 4x4 Limited and it needs to look a little beefier. I wanted to get the factory TRD lift kit but, I have the rear leveling air. I am sure all the front components would be fine. It's those damn air springs/ bags...

Thanks it definitely makes for a better looking truck! No rubbing anywhere... these are 33.5", many people on this thread running 34-35" without rubbing or lifts as well.

35 inch nitto ridge grapplers on stock 1794 wheels. Readylift 3 inch lift with control arms and icon rear shocks. Still averaging about 16mpg. If I drive 50-55 easy I can hit 18mpg. Not bad for 35s. None believes its an SR base model.
