Has anyone done 35's on the stock TRD rims (not the pro rims) ? Feel free to post pics of your trucks on 35's and stock rims preferably with a leveling kit installed. thanks guys

I have not personally, but I know 35's on those wheels are definitely good to go with a level. Rubbing seems to be hit or miss depending on how aggressive the side wall of the tire is, but it's minor if it does.

285-75-18 work on stock rims, taller and thinner than 35s. 35x1250s will rub UCA so you will need wheel spacers to run stock wheels.

I ended up ordering a pro comp 2.5 inch leveling kit and Yokohama Geolander M/T tire in a 35/12.50R20. Also got 6mm wheel spacers to clear the UCA's. Thanks guys!

Did it change the comfort of the ride at all? How easy are those to install, or did you get it done?

i only drove it for 100 miles before installing, it didn’t have any noticeable change at all. I installed bilstein adjustable shocks with 2.5” on my Tacoma and that was night and day difference with how bad/harsh the front end became. Sadly this is just a cosmetic addition to fit larger tires, with the air ride system I don’t think I’ll ever change the Platinum to include a proper desert racing suspension.

Do you feel your ride height is a lot higher? I just got 35s put on my stock Platinum and it feels a bit higher up. Just wondering if I want to do the 2" leveling kit now, or hold off and wait for the TRD lift kit by end of this year

Yes it is a few inches higher. The ride is not bad but I would hold out for the lift kit.

just be careful on platinum and 1794 or avs the lift kit will have conflicts. The kit is not priced bad at around $2700 but install and kit will be around $3500-4000 and you can get some really nice stuff for that price point.

I got the Platinum CM 5.5 without AVS, so I should be good. I know I can get others, but I just think in terms of ride quality and having it installed at the Toyota dealership (won't mess with my extended warranty) will give me piece of mind.

How does this ride? Do you notice a lot of road noise? Debating between these and the Toyo AT3s

The ride sucks after 8k on the tires. It’s like the shocks just gave out. I am looking for a coilover to replace them with. Love the tires and yes they are loud but they are mud tires and they expected but they look badass lol.

Did you have to do any cutting or modifications to the wheel-well area to get these to fit without rubbing? Are you running a spacer?

No trimming when running the factory wheels. I have the RC Leveling kit that’s all.
