My local grocery carries the 2L plastic bottles with the corn syrup BS (which should be a crime). Every now and then they get in 10 packs of cans with the old school sugar version and occasionally sugar Cherry RC.

Then there was the game of looking at the city and state on the bottom of the Coca-Cola bottles to see who had the one originally bottled farthest away.

The Original Gatorade. Had an uncle who worked for RC Cola. We got this stuff by the cases whenever we wanted it. Every ball game we had we supplied the drinks afterwards. Came in a steel can with pop top lid.

When I was a kid, one of my favorite things was a to empty a bag of Tom's Toasted Peanuts into a bottle of Coke. I still like to try and duplicate it now and then. :D

If I remember correctly, it was for fine tuning. I think you could turn the top knob to U and then find another channel using the bottom knob. Where we lived, put the top knob on U and turn the bottom knob and you could get channel 21.

I had an old TV like that when I was a kid. I cut a notch in the end of a hockey stick handle so I could use it as a key to change the channel.

Picture from this afternoon. I was shaving and thought of this thread. While I learned with an "old" two-blade Gillette razor, a few years ago I got into shaving with a straight blade.

Bingo, we could tune in Charlotte on 3, Augusta on 6, Columbia on 10 and of course Channel 4 and 7 with no problem. Weather permitting, also had to point the antenna the right direction.

That reminds me, remote control antenna tuner.
