That’s the best looking most economical running board on the market for the Tundra. However the wife and kids need something better…

I tried to get some of these steps, but they don’t make them for a CM for some reason. I saw some identical ones on a 2021 Sequoia TRD Pro and they had TRD stamped on one end.

Yes I seen the conflicting info looking at them before.

Is that the same part number as the ones you have?

I don't think that post fully specs the set though. Am I missing something?

I looked into the PT767-34160 part number to see if they will fit a CrewMax. From what I gather that is the old part number for Tundra double cab steps and is now the part number for Tacoma double cab steps.

I believe that part number PT767-34160 is a definite no-go for CrewMax trucks. For what it’s worth, folks also said they will not fit CrewMax trucks in the Amazon questions and answers and reviews.

I spoke to a local Toyota dealership parts person and he said that Toyota has an aluminum running board for Tundra CrewMax trucks in the pipeline, but not yet approved or something to that affect. Could be blowing smoke too, who knows?

Check out post# 1 of the thread linked below for the explanation and attached parts diagram photo. The diagram photo shows the flat inner piece’s part number and price. Search a Toyota dealership’s website for the flat inner piece using the part number from the diagram photo. Once you can see the diagram with all of the separate parts then you should be able to see the part numbers for each individual part as well on the same page (usually further down the page below the diagram).

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/que...g-boards-step-assist-parts.19872/#post-457612

If you find all of the individual part numbers and confirm them be sure to post them on here.

I spoke to my local Toyota parts dept and heard something similar about that PN. Only for DC, and originally intended for the Tacoma. He did mention some new cast aluminum boards but stopped short of mentioning that style for the CM.

I'll hold out for a little and call other dealerships to see if they have additional info.

No big deal, I thought the same thing as you with the listings saying they were for CrewMax. Figured I should post something about it so other people know.

I believe that I figured out the part numbers. Price them out if you like, but I recommend skipping it and just having a toddler kick you in the nuts instead.

Much appreciated sir! I was afraid of the price, after looking up 51774-0C030, that's kinda why I haven't gone to this effort.

I got some OEM door sill protectors. Those fit my budget easily. :)

What to do about running boards...

This image might provide some clarity to the bracket PN question: a1_583212E.jpg

No problem, I’ve been looking for them myself anyway. Best I can find close-ish to me are older sets or parts from wrecked vehicles. I looked up the parts, because I figured as long as I can get the 8 brackets and both aluminum substructures intact I can always order the plastic covers and make them brand new again for way cheaper. Either way they are definitely not worth buying new.

TRD Pro grill swap. TRD Pro wheel swap. Go Rhino RB20 running boards.
I've been thinking of swapping out these OEM running boards for something else. I'm in Ky if anyone wants to offer a swap lol.
