300 hectares on single tank of kerosene
    Prius, all day.

They bought it for efficiency, but that's not enough, they have to drive 10 mph under the speed limit for what reason, I don't know?

No particular brand of car or truck stands out for worst driver in all categories.

My pet peeve is slow drivers. I don’t care if someone wants to drive faster than me, it doesn’t happen often but as long as they stay out front more power to them.

Slow drivers though seem oblivious to their surroundings, and clog up the road with their stupidity. The worst are Class 8 trucks operated by large fleets. When these assholes pass one another at 63MPH vs 62.5MPH in a posted 80MPH zone backing up traffic for a mile, they need to be pulled over and summarily executed on the side of the road.

Then you have Prius/Tesla/EV/Hybrid drivers. They go slow and along with moron truckers cause 99.99999999% of the lane weaving, tailgating, and other bad behavior of everyone else trying get around their stupid slow asses.

All these idiots have to do is either don’t try to pass unless they have the power and speed to get it done (looking at you truckers), or speed up to the flow of traffic to execute a pass then get back over in the slow lane. I understand the slow lane is rough because of trucks tearing it up. Too bad. Go fast end enjoy smoother road, or save fuel and get a rough ride.

I forget the word - will have to go look it up, but supposedly the Germans have a word for this; it's translated as 'elephant racing.' LOL

Update: The word is 'elefantenrennen.' You bet your ASS I'm gonna use that word. LOL

    100% agreed.
Yeah, the slowly passing 18 wheelers are ridiculous. At this point, I think it's either intentional or they are heavily penalized for not maintaining a strict minimum fuel efficiency.

On the other side of what you're saying is the guy who camps out in the left lane even when it's posted KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS, and he literally speeds up just to ride someone's ass off to the left side a bit, just so they see him glaring at them in their side mirror (pro tip: this is never not highly effective at getting someone in front of you to do what you want them to do ) if they dare to pass someone else farther up the road at a slightly slower pace than himself.

I think we're all just agreeing that other people suck, especially in the quasi-anonymous context of sharing space on public roads.

18 wheelers I give a pass to. They have a hard job and our life as we know it ceases to exist without them. Showing a little patience with a trucker goes a long way. Except SWIFT drivers. Those guys suck. Lol

Edit- as a matter of fact there's not any goods we own that didn't see truck freight at some point. and it's not like they're maneuvering a civic..... I think everyone needs to give a little chill to our trucker friends.

Agreed on our truckers. The only time I encounter them when they’re doing the left lane slow passing thing is when I’m traveling for vacation. So I just remember and remind myself that they’re working and I’m not. So I try to take a few extra breaths.

The problem with 18 wheelers is a lot of them have speed limiters. When they encounter another truck that is going a few MPHs less then they want to and try to pass they have trouble getting by.

Most of them are electronically limited at 63-65 at least the large carriers.

Yep, and the dudes driving them should do themselves and everyone else a favor and not try to pass unless they’re going around vehicle that is considerably slower than they are.

They’re paid by the mile. Do you really expect them to take a pay cut on your behalf? Don’t get me wrong, an elephant race pisses me off too, especially when the truck trying to pass doesn’t have the stones to make it happen. But the industry is broken, and in many cases this is not the driver’s fault. Where’s the incentive to be professional and courteous when it directly brings home a smaller pay cheque?

Also if they miss a drop deadline by a few minutes , some warehouse will make them wait hours to unload losing them more money. Like someone else said when you encounter them on the road they're at work you aren't. You can wait another minute or two.o_O

Tahoes, ‘burbans, and Yukons driven by soccer moms are the absolute worst. And then squatted trucks are a close second. Their driving matches their taste in trucks: awful.

Can’t believe it took three pages to mention squatted trucks. I guess we don’t see a lot of them in many parts of the country. I absolutely agree.

Added them to the poll

I might be at work too trying to get to a more productive method of moving freight.

Stay the fuck out of the way truckers. The vast majority of that long haul freight has no business being on the highway anyhow. If the company truck is governed at 62MPH and that means you miss a load or unload because you can’t pass other trucks that are also going slow, then find another carrier. It’s not as if there aren’t a ton of trucking companies out there.

If I were writing laws there would be enormous tickets for impeding the flow of traffic driving under the speed limit in the passing lane. Start with $20,000 fines and go up from there to a $50,000 fine if you impede traffic and have a CDL.

If yall wanna get mad at the fast lane campers and HOV drivers who are flying solo then cross over to pass (fast lane drivers use the HOV for passing too) you're aiming hostility in the wrong direction. It should actually go to the troopers who aren't monitoring and ticketing said offenders.

If the laws were enforced, drivers would obey. Instead drivers see that the law enforcement doesn't care enough to enforce so why should they care enough to obey?

That being said, in my neck of the woods, nearly every asshole blowing the doors off people, not signaling lane changes, tailgating and parking like a doucher happens to drive a Ram truck. If they aren't in a Ram they're in a itty bitty BMW.

Yeah, those guys on crotch rockets who come out of nowhere doing more than double the speed limit and pass me on the right when I have my right signal light on are great drivers.

Seeing how much anger and built up road rage some of you have inside, I’ll vote for lifted trucks.

Good drivers are safe drivers, period. Slow down, put down the phone, don’t be an asshole. Three simple steps to being a good driver.
