Ok, I’m going to give my top three, in reverse order. Just because. Please note, I’m not calling anyone in particular out on this forum.

    3. Lifted trucks. Sorry guys. Our brethren are generally overly aggressive drivers and somewhat selfish on the road. Cutting people off, tailing extremely closely with headlights flooding the car in front of them, passing on the shoulder/curb/sidewalk. Something about driving a big truck makes people think they own the road. Bonus points for diesel drivers rolling coal at Priuses…

    2. BMWs. They do the same things as lifted truck drivers, without passing in the shoulder/median, but it seems BMW drivers do them more. Generally the most selfish drivers on the road. They’ll go at a stop sign if you pulled up first. Habitual speeders. And I’m pretty sure BMW gave up even putting turn signals on their vehicles.

    1. Nissan Maxima. I can’t believe how insane Maxima drivers are. If you see a pair of headlights (or just one, lol) flying up behind you on the interstate at what reasonably seems to be 30-40mph over the limit, chances are it’s a Maxima. Probably with FL plates. I think all these guys who drove their 90s Acura coupes into the ground are now in Maximas. Or at least they drive the same way. It’s crazy around here how many Maximas there are that are being driven like they’re in a Jason Statham movie. It’s so bad, my kids, who love watching and identifying other vehicles on the road, literally started calling them race cars. Can’t bring myself to correct them, because I’m not sure they’re wrong.

What are your top three worst drivers by vehicle?

In Texas, it is anyone with either paper dealer license plates (usually expired) or a handicapped plate or handicapped placard hanging off the rear view mirror..:eek2:
The model or make doesn't matter..

My father has a handicapped placard, he is a prime example of a bad driver.

Although it does sometimes seem, that the more a vehicle costs, the worse they drive it...

    Yep. There are 2 types of minivan driver;

    1) Those who are scared and overly cautious, who ironically cause MORE accidents due to indecision, poke-assing around, and just constantly being in everyone's farking way.

    2) Those who are pissed about being forced to drive a minivan and are hellbent on driving it as hard as they can to blow the f**ker up so they can hopefully convince the "significant other" to replace it with something that's not a minivan.

Agree with many of those listed above.

And I will add Audi! Seems to be two kinds of audi drivers, 1- overly safe/slow and 2- road rules/speed limits don't apply to me.

    1) Kia cars/suvs…maybe because they don’t care about what they drive?

    2) Newer model American Muscle cars-Camaro; Mustang; Challenger/Charger

    3) Ram Trucks…generally the lifted or diesel variety

Prius takes the cake for bad drivers here in SoCal. They’re awful. Think they’re slowly shifting over to Teslas now as they’re getting pretty bad too. Luckily Teslas have a million nanny’s so keeps them semi in check..

Around this area I’d have to say
    1) Honda Civics , especially the lowered ones with the garbage can exhaust .
    2) Mazda 3’s ( same as above )
    3) SUV’s , they seem to think they’re invincible .

Yep, driving between Dallas and Austin they use the whole highway. 80 mph is not could enough for them. They will jump 3 lanes to the right and back left to pick up a few car lengths. You know what the difference is between a Beamer driver and a porcupine right. Porcupines have prices on the outside.

Its funny before I even opened this thread and saw the title I was thinking Nissan Altima and Maxima drivers are the worst. I thought I was the only one who noticed.

    Agree on #3.

I would expand #2 to pretty much any luxury car driver but BMW drivers are definitely the worst.

I would expand #1 out to pretty much any compact car driver, especially Corolla, Prius and Yaris drivers.

The other one that I used to see more but has tapered off in recent years is Volvo drivers. I suspect this stems from them shifting from being heavily focused on safety to trying to be seen as a luxury car brand. The two types of people who drive Volvos are (or used to be):
    1. The people who bought a Volvo because it's the safest and they're scared to drive. These ones tend to be doing 20 under the limit in the middle lane or pull out right in front of you because they can't see over the steering wheel.
    2. The people who think they're invincible because they bought a Volvo and drive pretty much like BMW drivers.

I dunno if this is universal, but I know many different Dodge Ram owners, and I know *ONE* who doesn't drive like this.

Back when I was a speeder, I would find someone to keep up with several car lengths back. One time I was following a BMW on the interstate. I was just out of college driving a first year Scion xB. The smaller, boxy, less bulbous version. I think it had like 99 HP or something. Mr. BMW got annoyed and kept going a little faster, trying to lose me. I kept up with him for several miles until he got really sick of it and left me in his dust.

Maybe five miles later, I come around a big hill to see flashing lights on the shoulder. Mr. BMW got pulled over by highway patrol. I slowed down and gave him a big thumbs up.

I work with a guy who used to drive a BMW. (He now owns a Highlander...got tired of the repair bills.)

I heard the same thing all the time. "I know, yeah we're dicks, but the DRIVING experience, man...."

Type of vehicle doesn't matter, California drivers passing a semi on the highway if there is any curve to the road. They go from 20 above to 20 or more below the speed limit as they are afraid to pass.

Reminds me of the Zapper. Garage door opener looking thing with a red button and red led. Sent out a signal that drove radar detectors nutso. Quite a sport. Trolling for brakelights. The best catches were those that believed their Escorts were crying wolf and said the hell with it. Few miles later, there they were pulled over by the blues and tunes.
