I have a 2005 access cab with an amp under the front seat. Stock radio has Dolby logo, and I don't know who made the amp. I only discovered the emp when trying to replace the radio, and the harness Amazon said would work (Scosche TA02BCB), didn't match up to the stock harness.

I watched a few YouTube videos, and one suggested in multiple videos was the AXXESS Metra TYTO-01 JBL Amplifier Interface Harness. I don't know if I have a JBL amp or not!

The stock radio is an 86120-0C060. Does anyone know if the AXXESS Metra TYTO-01 is the right harness? I don't want to pay $75 for it just to be the wrong one!

Edit: OK, I'm and idiot. There is not an amp under the driver's seat. I saw a bundle of wires and assumed that it was an amp. I found the amp under the back seat. It does not have a bypass and appears to be completely stock.

First off, please see the "Audio, audio upgrades and cameras..." section of this thread to familiarize yourself with our trucks BEFORE you dive in: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

Second, I haven't seen an OEM amp under the front seat. Ever. You need to post a pic. You can see the normal amp locations for Access Cab and Double Cab trucks linked from that ^^ thread.

I suspect you're walking into a spaghetti-fest here with the wiring, and it's possible the previous owner didn't do the right thing. We can help you get squared away and buy the right stuff. But will need to see the amp you have under the front seat, and also have you look inside the cubby under the rear passenger seat, under the plastic cover, and show us what you see where your factory amp is supposed to be (either Fujitsu or JBL, our trucks came with both). If they installed a bypass there, that's helpful.

    Shifty,

OK, I'm and idiot. You are correct. There is not an amp under the driver's seat. I saw a bundle of wires and assumed that it was an amp. I found the amp exactly where you said, under the back seat. It does not have a bypass and appears to be completely stock. I found This post https://www.tundras.com/threads/1st-gen-factory-amplifier-locations-jbl-non-jbl-all-cabs.115324/ and the picture of the amp in the access cab looks exactly like mine. I'll look up an amp bypass harness. Thanks for your help!

Reply #20 in that thread will give all the part numbers and instructions you need I think. There’s like 4 different harnesses. If your amp isn’t JBL, it should say it’s “Fujitsu”.

Holler if you need any extra help. Used to do this for a living.
