    Installed my 3Wliner module today.
I forgot what a b!tch it is to run wires thru that door boot.
Haven't done it since my puddle light and component speaker installs.
It was harder to run the door wire than the firewall to the battery..:eek2:

It doesn't do windows up and down with the remote every time.
But I think I just need to practice with it and get the timing of pushing the buttons right.

One touch up or down on the driver's door switch works perfect..

I need a positive battery post terminal with a longer bolt.
I've added 3 ring connectors including a huge for my amp line.
I don't want one that I have to cut the stock starter and fuse box connectors off.
There isn't enough slack on them to do that..

That door to cab boot is a pain in the tail!!!
The windows from the remote does take some timing to get them to go down.
Up is simple with just a double lock.

I have found that 2 windows on the same side of the truck will not auto up or down simultaneously.

If you start the rears before the fronts have finished the fronts will stop and vice versa.

Pretty sure there is a module one can hook to the CrewMax rear window to make it auto up/down. I need to look to that. Sure wish one could roll it up with the remote.

I had seen it just not looked into detail yet. Guess I need to as my sub arrived this week and I have Killmat on the way to do the back wall may as well do it while I have all that out.

This is exactly why I wish it did the rear in the CrewMax. Left it open a couple times. Luckily it was good weather.

I just watched the video looks pretty simple. Don’t you want the fuse for the 12v power as close to the power source as possible?

Just ordered the 3w module. Pretty excited actually. This should of been standard on a 50k truck.

Yea it’s not bad at all...and 99.9% of my wiring I would do exactly that...wasn’t too worried about this one but if ya wanted to do that just cut the other side of red wire coming from module and locate fuse by battery terminal

I installed the 3W module not too long ago and it wasn't that difficult for me. Worked like a charm. Using your key fob, you're able to slightly lower your windows for those hot days.

    Hey 3W guys @hrv2017 @Black ;

I got my Tundra low window module installed last month.
From the driver's door control everything works fine.
All 4 door windows, up and down, with 1 push of each button.
That alone was worth the price and install of the module.

Getting the windows to open with the remote is a bit of an issue.
Out of 50 attempts over the last month, I've only got the windows to go down 4 times.
Procedure is start with locked doors.
Press unlock, lock, unlock and all 4 windows should go down.
I've tried doing it fast, waiting a second between pushes, but I cannot get it to consistently work properly.
It doesn't work a lot more often that it does work.

Windows going up when locking with the remote seems to work properly.
I locked it twice, the windows would go up on the second attempt.

I'm wondering if there is a certain timing in the button pressing sequence that I may be doing incorrectly.
Or maybe it has to do with having an aftermarket Compustar remote start/alarm.

The fact that is has worked a few times is more confusing than if it didn't work at all...

    Thanks...

    EDIT:
I was messing with this today.
I found if I used my Mobile Drone app on my phone, the windows rolled down every time with unlock, lock, unlock.
Must be something with the aftermarket key fob...

Yeah, I was about to ask you if you had any aftermarket alarm systems installed which came with an after market fob. I had/have the same thing going on with mine but I learned to live withit. I also learned that your factory key fob does in fact work when executing the lock, unlock, lock sequences.

On rare occasion I need to put the windows down, like summer, I'll just use the phone..
It is pretty cool to watch them go up and down..

Something that they don't tell you the MOD does is aside from the Unlock, Lock and unlock feature to have them all rolled down. I believe lock, unlock then lock will actually slightly crack them for you.

Glad you got it figured out.
I have to say it is the most useful mod I can think of.

I’m wondering why you have to run a power lead all the way to the battery instead of just taping into 12v somewhere in the truck? It’s not like your running a high power amp or something. I ran my heated seats this way and it worked great.

Technically you could do this but one you want constant power also window motors actually do draw a lot of power especially at the start and you are running 2 simultaneously as this unit will only allow the fronts or the rears to be going up or down at the same time.
It’s a fail safe keeps your other stuff protected.

Yes that makes sense. I know I can find a constant power to tap into, but do you think the wire will get too hot under load?

In theory as long as it is fused properly it should not matter but why risk it? The makers want it isolated for a reason.
Running the wire is not that difficult.

Oh I’m not saying it’s difficult. I’ve put in many stereo systems. Just was wondering why they say to run it all the way to the battery when the wire looked like a pretty small gauge. Normally you only have to run directly to the battery when your running a thick gauge wire like 8 or 10 gauge.

I just got my module in the mail today. There’s 0 instructions & the skip quite a bit in the video. I’ve watched both of the videos on YouTube & I understand how to do it. But they sent me an extra wired fuse not connected to anything, is that for something or just extra?

Like I said, not needed. You only need one fused power source to the battery.
