Congrats!!! The part I bolded above. Did you lower the compressor temp or something? I know a lot of people complain about the AC temp being poor or the fan speed being low even on high. Did tweaking the AC knob help with this?

it seemed to make the system operate more like my 16 as far as cold and force at a given temp , just my quick observation, I moved it to -2

Ah, good to know! I'll have to remember this whenever I end up getting a tundra.

OK. Thanks. I don’t have any hockey tape so I think I might try some black electrical tape and just tape the area that I’ve highlighted in my photo.

    I'll update this post..

I just did a stretch of highway at 70 and 80 mph using two calibrated decibel meters. At 70 mph, I was getting 63 dB at my ear. At 80mph, the meters showed 66 and 67 dB. That's roughly twice as loud at 80 mph vs 70, but still relatively quiet. My '19 4Runner was 74 dB at 70 mph.

Hi guys, 2023 Tundra TRD PRO here. Whistling sound that seems to be coming from the B-pillar area, over 70-75mph.

Before I just found this tread, I did a thousand-mile roadtrip so I had a chance to play with it, adjusted and even folded my mirrors throughout the drive - no change. I also tried pushing on the window outwards and that seemed to have helped. Now I know I'm not crazy so thank you.

My window also "clicks" - this gentle gentle rattle over bumps, which happens almost always when partially rolled down and often when relled up. Most of the time it helps to roll the window down halfway and then roll it back up, but sometimes it doesn't (temperature?). I find this interesting because my 2018 Tacoma did this same thing, although 3x worse, and dealership didn't help after multiple visits. So you could say I'm somewhat used to this one after 5 years.

I'm taking it in for a 2k oil change this weekend. My plan is to document it during my oil change because I live almost 2 hours from the dealreship for the next 4 months, and then deal with it later once there is some kind of a fix and I live closer. Am I thinking about it wrong?

Somewhat related question - does my truck have active noise cnacelling? I'm thinking about having them shut off the fake engine noise - will that also disable ANC (assuming I have it)?

P.S.: Also a creaky seat (back support area probably related to vents with no TSB), speaker rattle under heavy-ish base, and I think I'm developing center console rattle that is starting to drive me certifiably INSANE. Very nice for a 76k truck (with steps, safe, camera, bedliner, etc)

Identical issue here. The sound I hear is similar to the noise you hear when you blow over a half empty glass bottle. Except it's much for faint. Dealership had no answers.

The key thing I notice is that it ONLY happens when on the throttle. But not much. As soon as any pressure is applied to the pedal, you hear that whistle.

Did you find anything more about this?

I do not believe so. It's fairly distinctly different than the normal turbo noise when they do kick in. Unless there's some low RPM whistle they create? If so do you have a video example?

I also had a tech in the car on a test ride who heard the noise and agreed it wasn't a turbo noise.

I have a 2023 SR5 that sits in my driveway with only 900km on it after five months. I find if I attempt to drive it my face begins to go red, I start to tremble, and my fucking blood pressure goes up so much I'm worried I'm going to stroke-out. The wind noise on both sides of the truck is absolutely ridiculous. You'd swear you've left a window open two inches . Have now had three door seals replaced with zero improvement. The dealership I go to says they've now done 23 seals and not one of them has fixed the problem. Eleven complaint calls now to Toyota corp. office and just the standard "PFO" reply. I'm tempted to take the truck in again and them to take both side view mirrors off the vehicle so I can test the truck to see if the mirror seams and profile are the culprit. Has anyone done this? I have a 2010 Tundra and the window is quite different. No wind roar issues on my old truck. I'd like to have "a discussion" with the design engineer who signed-off on the aerodynamics test. Maybe the wind tunnel was broken that day. The gods gifted me the last time I was at the dealership, as the planets aligned and two new Tundra owners were there at the same time picking up their new trucks that they had been waiting 5-7 months for. I walked over as the salesman was showing them how to link their cell phone to the truck and I said "sure hope you like the crazy road noise and wind roar on you're new purchase". The second guy had an sr5 package like mine so after telling him about the road noise problem, I suggested that he better call the wife to say that he's cancelled plans to take the family out for burger, fries, and a Twisty cone, because he now has to go to the parts counter before leaving and order a $900 belly pan ($1020 if you want it installed) for his truck, as Toyota only put a piece of astro-turf on his to protect your tranny, oil pan, transfer case, etc. I told him not to lose his key, as it's approaching six months now and I still haven't seen my second key.

My 2023 sr tundra sounds like when you breath through your nose with congestion and you get that faint whistle, gets progressively worse over 55mph. First dealer couldn’t find an issue. Gets worse if there is a cross wind; comes around the a-pillar on the driver side. Sound drives me nuts, crank the fan speed and radio up to drown out the noise.

My dealer just put in the 3rd window seal on the driver side front window. The noise is finally gone it's like a whole different truck. I did notice that the new seal seems to be a much more pliable material than the previous 2 seals which seemed very hard. Hopefully it lasts.

ya, I firmly believe there has been an upgraded part at some point, my 2023 platinum has WAY better seals then the earlier 22 test truck I took for a drive and home for a day.

my 23 is dead nuts silent inside, so much so that its the quiet truck Ive ever been in by far.

I wonder if they can have a new seal but with the same part number, maybe one of our part number dudes would know's if thats possible or if a new seal supplier would have a new part number no matter what.

either-way, Im glad mine is quiet, lol.

I had bad whistling noise from driver side window at highway speeds, dealer replaced window runner seal and whistling stopped. However I do still get some wind noise which I hope to get it resolved eventually..

It does look like there’s an updated part number on the window runners.

Well my wife tossed the receipt but it should be this part #681510c030. The first two were very stiff and almost seemed malformed, would not stay up against the door. There was also a lot of clicking coming from it which also seems to have gone away. The receipt did say "replaced window seal, would not stay in channel. Replaced with new seal and sealant".

New runner part number that they installed for me is 681510c050

Was yours for the driver side window?
No way to double check the receipt or ask them to resend it please?

The updated part number is from 2022. Initially the 2022's had a rear window seal that was coming unhinged at the corner, they updated the seal at that point. I have a last of the 2022 builds, had my seals replaced approx 2m ago and they are identical to the ones removed.

The screenshots you sent seem to be for rear window.

I believe that we're talking about front driver side window here as the most common source of whistle or wind noise

Mine was the driver side front window, ton of wind noise coming from top left of window. I will try to get the part number from the receipt but here is a picture of what it is.

Part number would be great to pass on to dealership as these seals all look very similar to me...

Stumbled across this video. Interesting, I don't think I have a wind noise issue, a bit loud at 80mph but it's a brick going 80mph. However I do not have these parts installed from the factory.
