The SDHQ one is an alternate behind the bumper mount to the slim bumper. (See photos) all you see is the fair lead and cable end. The slim bumper should come with what you need to mount the winch to.

So, do I get you right, I can mount the winch to the bumper OR to the sdhq mount?

By using the sdhq mount, it is more stable or what?

Did you have to replace the soleonid in order to fit the winch into the bumper?

Thanks in advance for your help, B.

I got you, sorry for asking the stupid questions above. I think I will still go with the slim bumper than with the hidden winch mount, pricing is almost the same.

Tbat being said, does anyone know if I have to relocate the soleonid by using the slim bumper?

I've got the x20 10k in a slimline I didn't mount the solenoid on the winch, I mounted it to the passenger side of the slimline.

I had to relocate the box on my NFab RSP bumper. I had brackets fab'd for the box and can see them in the pic. When I updated my solenoid, I left the box zip tied behind the bumper skid plate.

The smitty has a lever. Zoom into the photo above of my truck, you’ll see where I cut out a window in the plastic bumper / grill

Ramsey was first winch I had in the 70s and it didnt know the word quit. Have Smittybilt on my Teryx and my 3500 and have used both dragging fallen timber etc... and they have always been flawless. Had 12k Warn that comes factory on Powerwagons and was pulling one log and it burnt up. Warranty put a new one on it but wasn’t impressed with Warn, the few times I called their customer service I was met with a level of arrogance so I can’t endorse Warn.
