In order to be labeled an islander off-road truck (Hawaiian, Samoan, Chamorro, Pacific Islander etc) you must have bogger tires.:)

Not sure if that is a sarcastic comment. 35 is not the max BTW.

The only speed limit over 35 on Guam that I remember was a road on Andersen AFB.

Off topic, these are built for off-road fun. The Tundra can definitely play but not what we do with these rigs. ;)

That mud on Guam wasn't just mud, it was a terrible, soupy clay that I refused to take my truck in if it was deep...

Well my statement is accurate in the sense that I was merely posting my opinion. I stated that IMO, people who actually off-road their trucks have IMO a legitimate need for large tires. We seem to agree on that point? If I personally had a need for 35's or larger tires, I would also feel the need to upgrade the rest of the drive train. I don't think we really disagree on that point either?

Where it seems we disagree somewhat is, you feel a spacer lift is an acceptable short term solution to fit larger tires before you can afford to upgrade the rest of the drive train? I guess I do disagree with that because I'm from the "something worth doing is worth doing right" camp. I don't believe in the "fake it until you make it" mantra. If I couldn't afford to build my truck right for the environment you described then I'd wait until I could. Either that or I would have bought an older, less expensive truck that left me enough money in the budget to build up as needed.

BUT again, that's just me. Like I said in my first post, your truck, your money. Do whatever floats your boat. I'm really not judging as much as I am just sharing my personal outlook on the whole thing.

32's look great on these trucks, anything larger and I would want to upgrade my suspension and drive-train accordingly whether the 'pros' say I need to or not.

Have you ever seen a double cab long bed on stock tires? Thing looks absurd. Heck the long boi tundra makes 35s look like 33s. The ram is on 285/75R16s and the tundra 285/75R18s

That's exactly right....lots of stock rigs here.. Meh...
Set aside the stock rigs, bigger tires with wheels and lift combo is the next level of investment to a killer truck...plus looks proportional ...from a 3" lift to 4",5",6" lift...with 34-35's looks perfect. Stands out to a meh.... stocker. Imho

You can keep the 35's and your perceived traction increase..
Gimmie 33s and a blower; all the traction / neck snapping / front end lifting I need.
