My 18 F-150 SuperCab 2.7 EcoBoost has plenty of cowbell. Lol. I like to turn on Sport mode from time to time and give it some giggitty. Alright.

Yea my friends think I'm crazy but I told them the same thing. I thought my 05 weighed 5300 but it actually weighs 4900. My 18 is
Yea I kinda miss my 3.5 2018 fx4 but there's a big difference in assembly between the two trucks as well as reliability I felt. When I drove my ford pulling my travel trailer it felt like the trailer was towing the truck as far as handling. Now the Tundra is just the opposite. Its heavier and controls the trailer. Aldo on the ford after pulling a few hundred miles the blow dryers would like take a break.idk

    A bunch
Put it in Tow/haul and turn the TC completely off, then try again. Butt dyno says there's quite a bit of difference between having that combination or just normal settings.

    2wd '07 RCSB weighs 4910 lbs. with a 381 hp 5.7L

Even though the lighter '02 is pretty quick off the line to

EDIT: My 2002 doesn't have any nannies... it doesn't even have ABS.

I bet that short bed is a blast to drive!!
Apples to oranges but I had a rcsb 05 taco, that thing was so much fun as a young adult!! It was like a car, with the biggest trunk ever. It scooted good enough for the 4cyl it had. But I’m glad I ended up with the 06 tundra in the end. I keep wanting caps everytime I see yours!

I had a 2012 DC I bought new and drove for 8 years. Recently bought a 2017 1794 edition with TRD dual exhaust. My 2017 feels faster than my 2012. Maybe it's the dual exhaust on my 2017?

It has another 300k miles in it at least before it is broken in.

Test your speedometer using a GPS. See if that is accurate. Then post what size tire you are on. From there we can help you know if it is stock or not.

Probably lost traction and power was cut. Even stock if you punch it you should break traction pretty easily. My dad's 05 has a stock limited slip and no TC at all, so it'll hook up and not have the computer trying to tame it. With TC off it'd be a matter then of getting a good launch or you could still lose to a 1st gen. The 1st gen having less power I could totally see being advantageous because it's easy to put it down.

As a convenience factor so you don't need to hold the break down the whole time, and don't accidentally roll into something.

Actually some 05-06 trucks have nannies that cut power when you stomp the gas.

My 13 outruns my brothers 18! I thought Because of BAMUFFLER!? For sure the 13 throttle is more responsive than the 18, and is probably part of it?

Your '18 a crewmax? I used to own a 2017 double cab with towing pkg, she was quick... I test drove a 2019 Platinum Crewmax and the Crewmax felt like a dog compared to the double cab.

Ok . Got some more information. My 05 that I got from my late brother in law has a k&n filter so basically stock. The tires are 29.5" tall. Everytime I turn and give just a little gas the inside tire loses traction and I mean all the time with very little acceleration. When its wet outside you gotta be careful cause rearend will slide out. I did a GPS app on my phone that had really good reviews and it matched my speedo. My rpm at 70 is just a little under 2500 I would say maybe 2450 conservative. We ran them again with my nephew in the new one. He took all nannies off. I got him by a fender but after about 50 mph he started to pass me. Keep in mind though we both lost traction at start and my old one chirps second gear a lot. So let me know what you think. From now on though it's all about making them last. No stock truck is really that fast . Not my intention I just thought it was interesting. Oh one more thing my old one weighs 5000lbs and the new one is around 5500 cause it's only 2wd I guess

Paint your first gen black and he won't catch up ever again :hattip:

Sounds like you might have 4.56 or 4.88 gears in there. Hard to say with what sounds like stock tires. I run 4.56 with 33s and always wondered how quick my truck would be on stock tires.

Probably why the rearend has a very slow leak at the seal not at the pinion. Bet my brother in law switched gears or something.
Always wondered cause I just traded my 18' ford 3.5 EcoBoost with3.55 gears fir the 18' tundra and my old tundra felt like it could hang out the gate.idk
