To be clear abomb60 makes the switch box only. I have one, very good quality.

    Working on it :-)
Depending on what head unit your using you may not need a switch. I used to have the Frac harness which was great, but with the new head unit the rear comes on automatically in reverse and front comes on when traveling under 5mph. There is also a camera selection button and then choose front or rear anytime.

Got mine installed in this nice spot, had to add length to the wiring, @RainMan_PNW, great install information, and @abomb60, great 3 switch panel, TRD PRO is coming together.

what do you mean by the “new” head unit? I have a 2018 1794 Edition.

Are you saying with that head unit a front camera would come on automatically at under 5 mph? Really?

Paul - if you don’t mind, would you post those photos? Either here or in a PM. I’d be interested in any photos you have of the install.

Yes, I have the DMX1057XR and when I am moving forward and go under 5mph the front camera turns on automatically. there is also a CAM button for easy access to select what camera view you want.

Here are the pictures I took when I mounted the switches. Hopefully they assist you with the placement. You'll need to pay attention to the console part that this snaps into because the switches will be very close to some plastic tabs when assembled. It's a tight fit, but doable.

Diamondback bed cover. Running boards. Kenwood amp with 4 memphis audio speakers in the doors!
That frac unit works great. Vehicle in motion override and front camera anytime. Adding an amp and 4 memphis speakers in the door makes the original head unit sound great.

    Extra clever, excellent spot.

I'm liking the simplicity a lot.
