This question gets asked too damn often. Just know of backspacing issues and you'll be fine. And you can use new Tundra wheels, you need to spend extra coin to adapt.

All those repeat questions and many more, about wheels, and what you need to worry about, are in the "wheels tires suspension" section of THIS THREAD: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

Go read it. Now, and save yourself some headaches.

Depending on the backspacing/offset of the wheels you choose, you may need to install spacers. Know what you need before you buy. IIRC, the 2nd snowflake" wheels you chose have backspace problems.

There's an entire thread dedicated to other-model OEM wheels here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/lets-see-1st-gen-with-toyota-rims.40487/

Both have weak offsets. And the stars look like hot garbage. The te37 wannabe's look great. But it ain't my truck.

I have yet to see a 1st gen with the snowflake design that actually looks "good", I think "hot garbage" is apropos. The other "asterisk" wheel option, I've seen plenty that look pretty solid, almost natural. But the OEM 5-spoke splits that came with these trucks still look better with meatier rubber IMHO.

oh yea, but those go for a premium. IMG_4563.jpg

But a weak offset as well; they probably look the best on our trucks from the OE options and come in rad color options. But cost more the cooler they look

Yeah, the -5.0" backspace is not great, but still better than the Taco snowflake option above, IIRC.

maybe if there wasn't a rubber band wrapped around that wheel; it'd look better

These were my favorite 1st Gen offerings from the Darrel Waltrip Edition.
I'm just not 100% on going to an 18" wheel & having to go down in rubber profile to maintain the same overall stock diameter . . . cause I'm old . . . LOL
Killer looking wheel though, IMO . . .

I saw some of these locally on a parts truck (FBMktpl) and I think the seller was asking $100/ea with tires.

And here's a set with a little bit of curb rash for $300, tires look good.

Bit of light sanding and some diamond silver metallic touch up paint and you would never know those were rashed. Those are a steal. You can put together some replica center caps for cheap too. I got some black Chinese knock offs to match the OE DW Tundra for about $60.

It's crazy because Toyota only sold 2,200 sets of those wheels. If people knew how rare they were they would command a higher price.

These Enkeis are pretty cool too. From a 1GT. Must be running spacers with that much poke. Very classic 80s/90s Ivan Stewart-era offroad race look.
