Took out the radio today and the lowest panel, with the DC outlets , had this harness running to an empty spot between the USB and the left DC outlet. What is it?20170720_190129.jpg

I believe that is for the security system if you have it

There's a red light led that goes there for the alarm. Get techstream and activate the factory alarm.. Get the little red light from the dealer if you wish.

That's cool. I didn't know you could just enable it through techstream. Where did you buy your techstream software and cable from?

You can just turn on the factory alarm? Why wasn't it done originally?

    See fine print
Looks like it's the glass break sensor for the factory alarm.

Thats what I would have guessed, but I figured the 3rd gens must be different when somebody said there was a red light in theirs.

Had this same question. Can I just add the glass break sensor where the empty slot is in the panel and hook that harness up? And then have that capability of having the alarm go off if my windows get broken out? I've already activated the factory alarm using techstream

    None. Keeping this one stock.
My 18 SR5 was already activated. Gonna add the window sensor later.

Tell me more. I was doing surgery last week and came across that plus another unplugged harness. 4309C2A0-C638-4547-A3A5-66297169B8F2.jpg

Pretty sure it's a gbs that connects to that harness, once hooked up youbhave to set it up with techstream I do believe. Trying to find someone that's done it to confirm.
