Should've never happened in the first place. How could you forget about a paying customer for 3 months. kinda crappy if you ask me. so ya, i believe that qualifies you as an ass and someone who didn't care. the overpriced comment was MINE and was based on reviews I've heard from others. I believe the man should have been given a little more than just a tracking number. hell, 3 months isn't just a small amount of time.

then to say that you were "tired of it coming across your desk" and "didn't feel like going through 500 addresses"... that should've been the first thing that you would've been happy to do in order to keep from a business experience from happening, like this one, and a crappy review. All in all, i say you take it up with the OP and MAKE IT RIGHT. don't just send him the piece you messed up on. the added stress on him due to your poor Quality Assurance shouldn't be something that he has to endure. And in my personal opinion, a tracking number this late in the game isn't going to make it right. I don't care how good of work you do or anyone else. You're held to the same standard as any other person, if not more because you are a smaller company.

Dan, thanks for the input. As far as the pricing is concerned, I think everyone can decide whats worth their dollar. It was more than what I wanted to spend, but I liked the look. Had the product shown up with no issues, I personally would have felt its worth it. If @dbcustomzfab squashes it and sends the plate - i'll feel like I received what I paid for and I knew exactly what that dollar amount was going to be. I dont feel like its fair to call him overpriced on a custom item. I certainly cant do it after I paid the price for it.

Like I said, I'm not a dick and I'm not here to bash anyone. I feel the product itself is a good design and quality. The plate thing was a mistake. Lets just get it fixed and be done with it.

On issues such as these contact your credit card company immediately once the promised resolve date was not met, keep your emails and they will more than likely suspend the charges and you will forgo any interest charges. If a vendor gets to many of these the credit card vendor will up the transaction fee percentage. The key is don't wait.

He did take it to you directly, you dropped the ball. If you were, in fact, a "straight up to the point guy" none of this would have been necessary. You made it right, but only in the face of a lot of bad publicity. People remember that type of service.
