Take it to a good automatic car wash - then hand wash it - then build the wax and polish back up on it. Looks like tree sap that got baked on it the heat

That’s pretty high up! I’d say you should be more careful, but I was doing the same stuff dropping trees in my yard a couple of years ago. My ass was puckering a few times.

    Nothing, yet...
“Goof Off” has worked well for me in when I’ve gotten sap on my truck or during debadging. Maybe an eraser wheel?

Just an update. I’ve had the truck all weekend, and gave it my all. This stuff is etched in. Tried polishing with Clear Cut, 3M Finesse It, and Meguair’s Ultimate Compound. May have lightened it a little, but I eventually threw in the towel, literally.

On top of this, it was the most contaminated paint I’ve ever encountered. It took three rounds of Iron-X before I could make any progress with clay. He works next to a highway in one of the biggest industrial areas in Houston. There was probably enough iron in it to make a Prius.

By the way @Pudge , the Adams Wheel Cleaner is NOT a good alternative to Iron-X. It barely pulled anything out of the paint at all.

Use very hot water to make it softer to remove.

There’s nothing to remove. It’s just etchings in the paint now.

Damn, sorry you couldn't get that issue fixed. I'm guessing even wet sanding won't fix the issue and itll need a full repaint at this point.
And thanks for the heads up on the wheel cleaner vs ironX. I'll keep the ironX on my xmas list now
