What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I refrained from showing you my negative terminal due to the clutter....hence the new terminals

All of my positives go to the Switchpro except the MattGecko bed lights

Added mine this past week. It's a very cool mod... although it does highlight the fact that I need to detail my engine soon....

Same here in hudson valley, ny been windy as hell. Come on spring so i can get back on the ol zero turn and burn some lawns lol

 

Yesterday I was working ot again, on a water main break. Talk about cold. Imagine standing underground in a hole with water up to your knees, if that wasn't enough you also got water shooting out the main up into the air all over you. No choice but to stick your hands into the water, gotta make sure the pipe is smooth. Metal tools and parts so cold they literally stick to your hands. Doing this with wind chills in the negative -30s. Plus I had a dirt wall cave in on me, fun times. The only good thing about all this; the money and the fact it makes just about any other cold weather situation a walk in the park. This job will either break you or make a man out of you quick lol.

Lol, now Phil I didn't say I wouldn't rather be in the vehicle with the heat watching too. Hey we all got shitty parts of our jobs. Me working in water and sewer there's times my job gets real shitty, literally shitty jetting sewer lines. I'm pretty sure there's times on the force where you in a bad situation wondering why u signed up for this too lol.

I know, unfortunately don't think my boss cares. I knew it was going to happen especially since we had trouble finding the main at 1st, running into pseg gas line. So we had 2 big holes filled with water and only about a 5 foot wide by 8 high line of dirt between. I knew it was trouble before I had to jump in the 1 side when we finally found main. I was hoping the freezing temps would keep the wall between up but knew it was probably going to happen. Least I was aware of it is what kept it from landing on top of me, just covering up my feet and ankles.

But I had my hard hat on lol.

Blacked out the badges this week. Struggled with the plastidip idea so ended up buying overlays with 3M adhesive. I was pleasantly surprised. Sure it cost $100, but took 10 minutes.
Only have the front bumper ends that need to be done now.

In the never ending epic battle of chrome deletion I scored 1 today for the good guys. Thank god i got a pro and don't have much to delete, but anytime u can delete the little chrome remaining it was a good day.

Even with single digit temps and more than 50 below freezing windchills I did this today. U got to admire my dedication.

Before you admire my dedication in the chrome delete battle, braving the harsh freezing conditions, I will admit I have a garage and even plugged in a small electric space heater while I did it. Color lugs pack of 20 size 21-23 lugcaps in black to the rescue. Present from wifey.

 

I was wondering if black lug nuts would look better. IMO they do!

 

Agreed, I tried actually changing the lugs but the chrome washer behind them bothered me and were pretty noticeable. These hide it alot more and makes the chrome barely noticeable at all, due to the chrome being recessed and the color lug covering more surface space. I really like it. Well worth 20 bucks imo.

 

This might be my next step. My plasti is peeling on some of the letters.

 

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you had installed new black lug nuts. You installed the covers. They look great, think I might get some now. Thanks!

 

Installed my Bed Lights and Step lights today. Wife and grand kids will be a little safer getting in and out in the dark. I will be able to see stuff in the bed under the Tonno better as well.

 

No worries, yeah I tried that a while back but didn't like the chrome washer was still pretty noticeable because the lug heads weren't as wide. These color lug covers though cover the head enough to where u can barely notice that same chrome washer. I highly recommend, before you spend more than 20 bucks and have to replace all the lugs, keep your factory lugs and spend the 20 bucks for a fast easy great look and spend more elsewhere lol

Time to pull out those washers and replace or paint 'em. Otherwise, now that we've all talked about it, it'll bug you. And paint those calipers.

 

Haha, I'm going to live with the chrome washer now that the color lug cap hides it enough to not even trigger my ocd (must be good) You must be a mind reader because I've already figured out the how and with what, I'm just waiting for the warmer weather to paint my calipers trd red.
