Did some garage sale-ing and hauled foosball table for the kids, then did the coolant drain and fill. The TRD skid is nice for oil changes, but it gets in the way of doing the radiator petcock. Got it done, just had to go down from the top to open the petcock.

    Too many mods to come
Ordered new tire straps, and fabbed tabs. Confirmed the new rear tire and bumper setup with @snivilous over the weekend after thinking of the project changes. Mazulla rear bumper being removed and sold. Pic of the planned tire setup attached.

I sent him a photo awhile ago showing him how small his tires are and no one will respect him while the first number starts with a 3 :p

Ok, I didn't know if you had a small lift before the tires or if it was stock.

I had Toytec ultimate coilovers before, which are just Bilstein 5100's with 700 Lb coils and an adjustable collar. I don't really recommend that setup unless you're just taking your truck on mild dirt roads to fish or camp or something like that. The little piston in those shocks run out of support pretty quickly and 700 lbs is too much spring for most trucks in my opinion.

Rotated the tires, washed and waxed it, dressed the tires.

Oh, and discovered a blown tie rod seal. Added grease until I can swap it out, inadvertently made a Rolling Stones tongue on the backside.

I wonder if you could buy the 2018+ steering wheel controls and they'd be plug-n-play?

I think I saw ppl do that but they had to use some sort of adapter kit to make the volume button work on the left side because the original setup has the phone there

You see this new kit from Factory Five Racing? Ian Johnson's latest show "Build for Off Road" did a few episodes on it and one of his contributions was building a similar looking rear tire carrier. Don't have a link to that episode, but it is a good looking design, and the entire kit is an interesting concept/idea, especially given what you are doing with @snivilous

Yea not a great chassis overall. Lots of other chassis out there that are far better. But nonetheless cool concept to bring it to dealer production level like that.
