AJT sells the radio knob controls in black. They are more like overlay s so you just fit them right over your stock knobs

Sorry should have been more specific steering wheel volume button.

I love the Rago/RAM mount. How do you like it? CO just passed a hands free law and that's the setup I've been planning.

So been going crazy on junk yard sites looking for different models car toyota cars with a black steering wheel volume control. Can anyone confirm that a 2016 4runner steering wheel controls are the same as a 2014 tundra?

    Picture attached is of a 2016 4runner

My volume button only has 2 graphics on it, that 4Runner button has 3 graphics and looks like I may be longer. All from memory but I do not remember that on my Tundra

I believe the button does have 3 graphics. It's just in the black it stand out more. Just searched a tundra wheel and has 3 also.

Got some 4 new Cooper STT PRO tires yesterday at my favorite local tire shop for $1900 out the door. Would have been $2600 at Discount Tire.

If the button layout on both sides is a match, then you should be GTG to swap with a 4R or Taco steering wheel controls. Pinouts and connectors will be the same for the versions with the same buttons

You can also just disassemble the wheel and swap the button/controls “assembly” without having to pull the whole wheel.

I love it. Makes really good of that dash area. It's one of the best phone mount system IMO. I only have the 1 mount so far but I'll eventually add another for my passenger.

Yea I've had RAM mounts on my motorcycles for years, so it was a no brainer to lean that direction now that I have to have one on the truck.

BTW, I just saw your other truck in your signature. I've also got a '98 3.4 T100, been supercharged since 2013 if I remember right. It's in the process of a SAS right now.

Well damn, I was looking at the location of the button. My bad and I will go get my second cup of Joe now. Thanks for the clarification, I spent more time looking for that photo from years ago than I did anything. My apology

Nice! Yeah I love my Taco, that thing is so much fun to drive. Unfortunately it's on the operating table right now. I had a cracked head with one of the cylinders flooded. I'm at a stand still right now on that project pending funds for an engine rebuild from Yota1. But being on this site is tough cause all that money that should be going to the Taco goes to mods for my Tundra :(

Yeah. I do recall seeing a mod on here that reverses the volume/track button so I'm pretty sure it's possible to swap out just that piece to black.

Stock, with a few cosmetic mods.
Used it to run to local auto parts store to get rear pads and 1 rear rotor for my wifes 2012 Highlander. Rotated the tires while I had it up. Old gal has got 162k and we’re considering a replacement. Would like to remain with another Toyota but I don’t care for the newer Highlander power plants. 4Runner maybe?

Damn, that's tough. I'm hoping to avoid the cracked head, but it's common on the higher mileage 3.4's. I've had mine for 16 years and I've put 140k on it. Here it is just prior to starting the SAS, Fathers Day 2021. Scuba Steve Hells Revenge Moab.jpg

I just need the time, effort and minor funding to finish the damn thing. 95% of the SAS is done. The axle is under it, the rear is regeared to match, I just need rear shocks or to relocate the mounts, a front driveshaft, brake master and booster, drill the knuckles for the 1 ton tie rods, swap the oil pan and add bumpstops. So I'm looking to finish this winter.

Here's how it sits now, just waiting on me to actually finish it lol

Ooo wee that looks awesome. I went long travel on mine but still need to work on the rear, I have rear are 5100's LoL

This is how she's supposed to look..
    IMG_20210914_182940.jpg

I can't say my truck is or was a high mileage truck. Only had 130k miles on it and I'm the original owner that beat the shit out of that motor especially after the S/C

Don't cry about the 5100's lol. I'm no better. Right before Moab, where the damage occurred causing the SAS, I rebuilt the rear suspension. New Toytec shackles, a hybrid spring pack built with 2WD T100 leaf packs and a nameless progressive AAL, and 5100's. It worked great. Too bad the IFS just couldn't keep up with it lol
