Fuck that. I would definitely go right back to the shop and have them order replacement parts for that crap. This is why I hate letting other people work on any of my anything. No one gives a crap about your stuff. Also, pretty sure modifying the factory braking system isn't something shops do on the regular, for liability reasons alone.

Question is: How do you prove something that isn’t there wasn’t there when you didn’t know if it was there?

    Otherwise, I agree with you.

Yeah, I took these after doing the swaybar. I had to trim the exhaust to get the right side bracket in place.

You loving that Rear Sway Bar?

Looks like they ziptied your broken end of the Proportioning Arm into the fully up (bed loaded with weight) position in that other pic.

I can see the LSPV in both pictures.

I don't understand how they could snap that off. Seems like it would take a fair amount of force. What brake work were they doing?

Yes, for sure on the sway bar. I have a fair bit of weight all the time and a taller utility topper. It helped quite a bit. Thinking of upgrading the front too now.

I'm puzzled why they did that. They installed a new carrier bearing with a drop kit, stainless brake lines and all new brakes. Even welded up a new tail pipe.

I can see the lower bracket for the LSPV. I cannot see the actual valve or any of the transverse arm that connects the lower bracket to the valve itself. Am I missing it?

Update on the clunking sound from the front end, it was a sway bar link after all. Everything appeared fine visually, but I took the driver's side link off completely and found it was pretty chewed up, but I couldn't see it when installed. Probably over-torqued and wore out over time. Went for a quick drive around the block with that link removed and the bad sounds were gone, so I got a new Moog replacement put in, it's been silent since.

    Thanks all for the input!

Finally pulled the trigger on replacing the passenger side exhaust manifold with an OEM one. Got it for $295 with a promo code from Larry Miller Toyota in Murray, UT. I considered the Thorley's and JBA's but the truth is I probably won't keep the truck long enough to see the new OEM one go bad again and I
m not looking for performance gains and really just wanted ease of installation on this job more than anything. Lol. Bought all new OEM hardware for the job too.

Also bought gear oil for the rear diff to change it out when I have a little more time. Working 6-7 days a week hasn't helped me accomplish much of what I want to on the truck but it does give me the $$$ for the toys. Haha!

oh, I found a reputable machine shop close by to weld a bead inside the new manifold flanges and plane it, so that should help it last a little longer than the original one that I'm sure is on the truck now.
