 If you only knew the saga behind these. Much headache and ridicule has come out of this. But yes, they do look nice.

I did 4qts of WS followed by 8 of Maxlife. So probably 40-50% WS/Maxlife in my trans now. Shifts might be a slight bit firmer, which would mean less clutch wear in the long run.

I did it for better shear & higher temp stability, since the Maxlife is synthetic. Not that I'm currently towing anything but if I ever need to, I'd prefer it be ready.

My CEL was on since 2008~ish 2 hours a day. Until I put that 02 fouler on.
Conservative hour estimate is 5 days a week, 2 hours a day. 52 weeks a year X 10 hours a week equals 520 hours per year.

Roughly 13 years X 520 annual equals 6,760 hours... is that right? What's the lifetime rating on one of those bulbs? I realize it's different than the rest of the cluster. Much closer to a 194 than a 74?

Does anything pass through that metal pipe structural support? Weird how it's thicker on the driver's side than the passengers.

I made steel flatbar ‘skis’ in highschool metalshop that strapped to my boots. 16” long and curled up in front. All the way down center street. Honking, flashing, and running redlights. Dude who owned the harley s/c f150 was a metal fan, so we had unintelligible screetching, wild guitar, and double bass blaring through jl audio 13w7s.

Nothing goes through it ..its probably smaller on the passenger side to make room for the air bag assembly .

Update on the "clunking sound" coming from my 06 DC.....it only happens at slow speeds and turning, I've narrowed it down, and it's 100% coming from the front. i can replicate the sound while parked by turning all the way right, then bringing it back to the left, I get a distinct pop sound right around when the wheels are straight, the same spot every time. doesn't do it going the other way.

Any ideas? everything feels really solid as far as sway bar links, control arms, etc. I can't get under the truck and turn the steering wheel at the same time, but that's the next step, once I have someone to give me a hand.

Put someone with a decent ammount of sense in the dr. seat. Have them gently cycle the gears, while you hold on to the chassis, and plan to bail as soon as things go wrong.. if its loud enough to hear, you can hear it from underneath.

CV axles look fine visually.....not sure exactly what it would look like if they weren't fine.

Rack and pinion bushings maybe? could that be a possibility?

Got 4 OEM center caps. Crazy how Toyota wants close to $400 bucks for 4 caps, I only paid $30 for all . Pics old vs New. As y’all can see they were much needed.

If you ever get your tires replaced, always remove the center caps first. You’d be surprised how often those things get broken. Usually not visible till you remove them after you get home.
