Got them from a site aka big gurl. These are everywhere online in the $7-12 Range. Be careful of the trickery on fleebai. Both sites actually. Make sure you order one pair and not two. Also, watch the lead times trickery.

I wanted the black ones but they only are sold with the double paired pack so ended up with silver.

Removed the Handle and ‘punched’ the inner rod out with the provided removal rod and some light hammer taps. Everything else is a press job using the Large Channel Locks with the press rod. Press on. Press off. Carefully.

Missed that in your instructions earlier. I think I have a punch pin set; if not, I guess it's a trip to Harbor Freight.

You could probably find a properly sized nail and cut it into a push pin.

By Southern California standards if you can't smell what your neighbors are cooking, you are in a rural area

If I sneeze my neighbor says bless you.

Check Engine Light came on earlier this week, pulled over and hooked up my OBD reader, P0161.
Got home looked it up, logged on to Rockauto and ordered a Denso. Received it today, laid down
    some cardboard and slid under.
Old one out, nickel anti seize on the studs and new one on. Could not be easier.

In certain Boston neighborhoods and the surrounding area where the triple deckers are located, if your neighbor enters your apartment, you may have left your window open.

I bought a set of those a few years ago and only ended up installing 1. If I can find the other one, I'll ship it to any of of you guys that need it. I'll update if I find it.

Nice! Might not be worth the shipping because they are so cheap and break in pairs. They look like they might make a good single earring, though.

OK, oh wise ones. I just spent 2 hours trying to get a rusted drum off. Sprayed PB blaster on it before I quit tonight. Unless someone has an easier idea, what I plan to do tomorrow. Put the truck on jack stands, loosen the rear lugs so that the wheel is not up against the drum, and then pop it into drive, and then reverse several times. The lugs have enough play that they may break the drum loose. What say you?

I would recommend something I learned. Mix equal parts transmission fluid and acetone. It is incredibly effective at breaking rusted parts loose. Only prepare what you need at a given moment though because the acetone evaporates very quickly.

Nyet. Adjust the shoes in, and tap around the drum with a hammer. Go around the back a couple times, then the front a couple times. Or a small bottle jack between the spring and drum, and tap the other side.

After posting last night about finding time to do something to my truck... I swapped front sway bars.

Apparently 03+ uses a 27mm front bar, 02 and older are 23/24mm. I put a 28mm one I grabbed from a Sequoia with a sunroof. Balanced out the front feeling a bit squishy with the rear sway bar I added previously.

I also borrowed the A/C machine to check my system (was not staying cool at idle). After 16-17 years she was .6lb low.

Anybody here ever replace their windshield themselves? There are very few reasons I’d ever let someone else’s tools touch my truck, but this is one of them. I’m not scared, it’s just the cost vs. hassle. The only reason I am contemplating it is because I have a minor rust issue under the windshield seal itself, and I know any windshield guy will just put the new seal right over it and for damn sure isn’t gonna sit and wait while I do whatever it is I decide needs to be done once I see it. I may remove it, fix it, then just have it installed, but at that point, seems like I might as well just install it myself. Make sense to anyone else? I might add, the rust is what actually cracked the glass in the first place, and if it happens again I’ll
be kickin myself. Yup. Just talked myself into it so...... yeah, anybody here ever.....?

I've removed them, never installed though. I would contact the glass company you're going to use and ask if they can remove the old one (for whatever the cost is) and then at a later date install one for you.

I have the same issue with rust right along the top where they put in the cheap gasket replacement. I wouldn’t be surprised if the rust is their handiwork since they’ve replaced 3 of my windshields and that’s the only area of rust.

Call them out to do the job in your driveway. Be prepared to step in with the proper primer and rust clean. There is a Quick Dry Rust Stop Shpray the window guys use. Maybe look that up and have it ready.

If you have a big rust problem them DIY is best. Small problem let a window company do it and step in for quick Feather Dust Repairs. Under $300 in my driveway with Safelights.

I wouldn't mess with it. 1 wrong step and you just wasted a windshield. What if you pull it and fix what needs fixin, then have them install? You might call around and see if they'll do that.

Yeah. Assassin had a good idea above. I think another member did the same and had the company pull the glass and return later after repair.
