There's a premade virtual box installed one on ih8mud that works good. And way easier install.

That’s how I got my windshield replaced. Had a crack in the windshield on the bottom after just replacing it 8 months prior. It was winter and as soon as I turned the defroster on, it grew into a crack that spread across the windshield before my eyes. 20 minutes later, I had a 2 foot crack across the windshield. Ironically. the insurance company called me on the way home asking about the appointment to get my windshield replaced by Giant glass when it was a small crack. I explained to them about it growing across the windshield as I was driving and asked if they still want me to drive to an adjuster to inspect it. Sadly, they declined saying it wasn’t necessary.

Finally got my glovebox latch repaired. After a couple years searching for a latch, I gave up and had the dealership do it.

They also let me know I'm coming up on my 192,000KM (120,000mile) service and did up a quote for me. Oil change, spark plugs, front and rear diff fluid, transfer case fluid and coolant... $1015.69 Canuckistani Pesos. Yeah, no.

    1. I do my own oil changes.
    2. They say the diff and transfer case fluids need to be done every 32,000KMS (19,800 miles). That seems really short. That would be every 18 months on average with my driving habits. Even so, shouldn't be a hard job.
    3. I had all these fluids replaced when I bought the truck 60,000KMS (37,000 miles) ago.
    4. Spark plugs are easy too I believe, so I'll do that myself.
    5. At least the service advisor chick was cute.

    1. Big thanks to @Lil Steve for pointing me towards the camper shell I bought. Also big thanks to @FrenchToasty for giving me pointers along the way. Now I need to learn how to make a plexiglass window for the forward facing opening on the shell as it originally came with a weather boot.

    2. Also, my front seats are now Katskinned. Love them already. The shop reworked the seat foam and a 5 hour trip yesterday put smiles on my butt?.

Id say 30-50k miles on the diff oil depending on driving habits. You’re probably getting close. They are an easy drain and fill.
Pro Tip: Make sure you can take the fill plug off first. Sometimes they are a pain and if you can’t get it off but you’ve already drained the oil your stuck until you figure it out.

I’m debating on doing my 04’s front seats. Thought about clazzio or cover king covers. Thought about katskins. The stitching came out of the drivers side. I might take the seat out pull the leather and stitch it back up. It’s got patina but not cracked. The leather itself is still in ok condition.

Mine had cuts and grime all over. It is a chunk of change but I want to completely clean up my interior. I think all that is left is a nice steering wheel cover (ordered a sew on version) and clean the seat belts.

I am curious as to how the foam will break in over time. I think the Tundra seats are fine for shorter trips but past 5 hours or so, my butt was numb.

That looks like my seats. The foam still feels good so I gave the bad stitching the extra wide Gorilla Tape treatment and bought a $300 pair of camo seat covers from Marathon. Happy.

Hopefully it last and is comfortable for you. They look great.
My 04 seats are comfortable enough. I went on a 9 hr trip recently and they felt ok. I have the limited which has some seat adjustments that helped the ergonomics. I also used cruise control and stretched my legs often. Nothing like the 3rd gen platinum seats but I’ve sat in worse for longer.:D

The foam is still good. Heated seats still work good. I’ll probably pull it stitch it up and see what happens.

Flushed some brake fluid out with the new Motive Power Bleeder. Learned a few things. Make sure to drill a little hole in your catch can so it doesn’t build up pressure when you remove the hose from the bleeder at the caliper and brake fluid sprays everywhere….
Also, Motive doesn’t make a Toyota adapter so they tell you to use the ‘universal’ adapter cap. Sucks ass. Still wasn’t crazy about how I had to attach it. The first time I thought everything was good and sealed but it wasn’t and the machine pushed brake fluid down into my engine bay. All in all I was successful after some adaptations and @Professional Hand Model should be happy I used the Bosch 5.1 fluid.

Was also wondering if I were to buy another reservoir cap I would drill a hole and insert a barbed fitting so I wouldn’t have to use the ‘universal’ cause it’s anything but!23368A58-21F0-4979-B543-829F4A4D3F84.jpg

Anyone trying to do this in the future; speedibleed makes a really nice system that is designed for our Reservoir and uses tire pressure thru a regulator to push the fluid thru

Got my full size spare tire mounted, balanced and a fresh tpms sensor. Now they can all be programmed together and after 7 years my tire light is finally off.

I can also confirm that a 285/70/17 k02 fits in the spare location without any issues.

The spare is a offerup special method 309 17 inch 0 offset (seller said it was never ran, just hung out on the rear tire carrier Condition 9.5/10). the rest of my wheels are method 305 same size and offset.

tire was also someones spare and has never been run. Vilmont Market special $150 10/10 condition. Seller was selling 5 and he found someone to buy the other 4.

this deal took about 2 months to find

Those or Denso. I’ve used both over the years and they are about the same. I usually go with whatever one is cheaper at the time.
