Took the little man up on a hike. We did a couple miles the hard way. He was a total trooper going up stuff I didn't know if I'd make it up. I guess losing a little weight helped me and nobody ever telling a 3 year old he can't climb that rocky hill worked to his advantage. Coming down was a little less fun for him, but we made it through without anything major.
My truck needs rear suspension still. Handles alright for what it is though and it makes short work of the rocky firebreak roads. Hoping I'm starting my kids love of trucks, the mountains, and metal music, the way I grew to love them. Going up on the hill with pops. My tundra is no 79 f250, but she's pretty fun.

If any post could benefit from before/after pics...

Never heard of Solution Finish. Been thinking about Plasti-dipping various things (besides the badges that I already did a couple years ago) but maybe this stuff would be easier?

Thanks to pretty much everyone on the lunchtable thread today, and last night or so...

And my friend Wyatt I finally got my switch box wired up, and working.

I'm heading out to aim my ditch lights now.

I'll add some posts to the build thread one day. No promises though

May come as a surprise with the limited amount of black, but yours is one of my favorite looking trucks here.

It is a dye that is to be applied to black trim. I have tried various other products and some look good for a little while, but my truck works out in the intense desert sun. Lemme google that for you:

That deadpool guy makes me laugh. The memes are great, but when I see a picture on a car I just shake my head.

It looks great from 5 feet away. The truck was repainted by the selling dealer and they did a decent job, but there are areas that could have benefited from better prep work.

Hey guys, tried to start the rebuilt motor just now. It keeps skipping and when it tries to catch, there is a very low idle/rumble before it fizzles out. I had the jumper cables attached.

The shop it's parked at will do a diagnosis. They said they'll start with simple stuff like grounds and work their way up; I told them the whole story and the potentiality of timing being off was mentioned by the mechanic, even though I went through a few revolutions to ensure correct timing. I'm devastated that it wouldn't start, I wonder at what point I should throw in the towel. If something major is wrong I will probably be done even though I've said that like 10 times by now.

Take a deep breath. Anxiety can be a bitch like that. There is no need to panic just yet. It may be something simple and they get it squared away.

There are many simple things that could cause this when it's a case of a motor being complete unhooked and then hooked back up. Don't fret just yet....let the shop check the simple stuff before you get too dejected. You're almost there!!

The support on this forum, you guys don't know what that means to me. Lord knows if I did have to sell, I'd probably still get another Tundra. ;) I tend to get dramatic so we'll see what they say before I make a decision. Maybe it's real easy, like one wire.

Got order in from McGregor and was able to get steering wheel RH switch installed, new inside bezel handle(more on order now that color confirmed) and started on driver door belt weather strip. The remainder has been ordered and will await FedEx !

I'm not sure what material the wx strip is made of but would like to put some protection on it before install. Need to clean the area where mirror and strip go before re-installing....probably use Nu-Finish, which is what I have on hand. Tomorrow is another day !.

Question....does anyone know what the material is on the B pillar....seems like vinyl wrap ??

I have a 34 minute long normal speed video I can upload if anybody wants to see it.

It's 12 GB. Kinda hesitant to upload that as my rough redneck-istan time estimate is about 3 or 4 hours of solid upload.

You should use a movie editor to speed it up and slow it down where it’s interesting. Final Cut Pro will let you do it. I can’t remember the name of the free movie editor that will give you that functionality.

Yea, running a bit hot, 10°-15° bumper is in the garage, waiting for warmer weather. I need 48 hours of consecutive time over 50°F for the bed liner and that won't happen until May probably.
