LOL then I'll lose my turkey beheading badge.

That's what bent that bar in the middle. I hit a turkey right above his beard roling about 50. Cut his head off, and bent the piss out of my bar.

Replace it with a home-fabbed Mad Max style bar.

I was thinking more... use a tow strap or chain... put the truck in reverse. That's how I straighten boo boos.

I was on my way to work in the middle of July. It was 85°F at night...

I left it in the road because it would have been rurnt by the time I got home.

You could fit a fridge right there! If I remove one handle from my norcold it fits with the seat folded. Not that it matters with baby #2 and the shell.

Ahh. That really is a sad story. I would have been very tempted to find a freezer somewhere. I've seen a single wild turkey and it scared me. Just sitting by a dirt trail and everything is quiet as can be and... Ruffle ruffle ruffle "turkey sounds!". Not what I was expecting to sneak up on me haha

Turkeys are a lot sneakier than people give em credit for.

I pulled my seats earlier, and cleaned up all the floor.

It was Nastia. This is the cleaner side...
    20210411_182010.jpg

Anyways, I pulled my seat bottoms, and center console cover off. Stuck them in the warsher.
    20210411_185150.jpg

They were Nastia too. Tex standing guard.

Took my floor mats to one of the local car washes. I did a drive by the first time because a bunch of young yee-yee ass Carolina lean'd fucktards were present hogging all the warsh bays.

They were all standing out front just talking. Shit boxes parked in the bays. Not cleaning. I didn't feel like getting in a 1V6 fist fight today. They are all adversarial.

Did a quick tour of the main drags, and returned.
    20210411_194424.jpg

Much win. Now if only I could find my eagle claw floor mat hook things I have somewhere....

You can generally get away with just vacuuming them if you flip them (rubber side up) when you expect to get dirt and water on them like in the winter time

Last Sunday mocked up a junkyard swaybar and welded diff mounts on.

    IMG_20210404_143810.jpg

    IMG_20210404_150801.jpg

Thursday night at a friends shop, sand blasted and then powder coated the sway bar (and brackets, not pictured). He was powder coating some wheels in black already, so only took a couple extra minutes for him. Plus he had to purge the white from the lines anyways. The speckle of white looks good IMO. Makes it seem like a super dark gunmetal.

    IMG_20210409_005818.jpg

Today I fabbed the outer mounts and figured out the end links. I grabbed a few different length ones from the junkyard to try.

    PhotoGrid_1618191355032.jpg

    IMG_20210411_160844.jpg

    Done.

    IMG_20210411_162747.jpg

The rear bar is about 21mm and actually feels like it is a bit more than necessary for my truck. I think a 19mm bar would be a better balance with the stock front bar. Maybe time to upgrade the front too?

Bought a pair of HID projector headlights from @Tundra2 and installed them today. When I first plugged them in I got nothing. Then I noticed a little sticker that clued me in.

My stockers were getting a little hazy, these look much better IMO. Haven't driven with them yet, just getting dark out now.

Also decided to throw on the Addco 2181 rear anti-sway bar kit that I ordered a few months back. Installation was pretty straightforward, 2 holes need to be drilled into the frame rail for the end links. Differences between this and the popular Hellwig 7700 rear anti-sway bar kit are:

    Addco -------------------------------------------- Hellwig
over the axle mount ----------------------------- under the axle mount
frame needs to be drilled ------------------------ no drilling
    not adjustable ------------------------------------ adjustable
thin painted coating (scratches easy) ----------- tough hammered powder coat finish
one inch diameter -------------------------------- one and one eighth inch diameter
high-carbon heat-treated steel ------------------ high quality 4140 chrome moly spring steel
    $155 ----------------------------------------------- $385

I've already upgraded the stock front anti-sway bar to a Hellwig, so with this Addco and new HD leaf springs my handling while towing or loaded will be greatly improved. Hellwig is clearly higher quality but I don't regret buying the Addco.

You can see how easily the paint scratches off.

Glad they worked out for you so far.
    Word of caution...

If you have to rotate the bulb holder to get a "level" cutoff line... wait for the bulbs to cool down. I figure they're pushing 200°F based on my burn scars...

I did rotate them just a bit to level the cutoff line while I had it in the garage but I didn't have them on long enough to burn me. I did feel them start to warm up though.

I guess you thought that one out better than I did. I waited for them to come to full power before making adjustments so I wasn't getting a "false" projection. Camera obscura.
