Nice. Paint the Toyota emblem on the center caps red while you’re at it.

The wheels center caps? Did those a few weeks back. Here is the pic again.

Working the senarios. Going with the subtle highlight look versus solid stripe.

Used this cleaner to de-fog my headlights a bit until winter is over. I plan on getting new headlights but can’t decide if I want to go through the hassle of retrofitting again or not. I’ve done it twice and the light is worth it but I always seem to spend more time/money than I want to. Also paranoid I’ll inevitably break something.

    Rear window defrost maybe?

I'm jealous he has more buttons. Shift Lock?

My rear desfrost is on the dash left of the wheel. The Shift L button is to shift into 1st gear. The 05 and 96 have 5 speed autos and Toyota didn't want to change the shift column, so you shift into 2nd and press the Shift L button to shift into 1st lol
I wish I had that auto LSD button

Wow. Thats some finagling to get around making the 5 speed happen. Only time I ever want to shift into (or stay in 1st) is when in 4lo mode just to keep the torque going. The 02’ is all time LSD (true LSD?). Or is the 05/06 the true LSD?

Some of the later models had an "LSD" that really just applied brake. Earlier models were available either with factory (Eaton) or from dealer (Kazuma) installed real LSD.

Thanks for that refresh. I remember thread about one being ‘fake’ LSD. Eaton is the one on mine I believe. I remember reading a small placard when under the truck.

I'm pretty sure my "LSD" is just a brake applied faux-LSD like what was stated above. Haven't actually used it yet to see what it does.

    That's my rear defrost button.

I would love to get this but I live all the way in Hawaii and the shipping cost would be outrageous.

Bummer. If I can't find a buyer I'll just save up for an aftermarket hitch and install it with the bumper.

It's always been a confusing topic. The LSD was a separate option, not part of any particular package (SR5/Limited/TRD/Etc).

Isn't like a locker, it won't get you through serious mud or sand or snow. It does grip a hell of a lot better than the open diff on rainy days or driving around on dirt.

I'm curious if there is a big difference between the Eaton and Kazuma in performance. I've heard the Eaton is rated at 200lbs and Kazuma at 400lbs, don't know if that's true or what that even means.

You aren’t missing anything. My outside rear tires spun on sharp turns coming from a stop for years in wet street conditions. The rear sway addition has helped, but they still spin a little.

Not sure how LSD reacts when in 4wd? I’ve never gotten stuck so maybe it works?

So far so good on the rear window Access Cab not leaking. Just had some rain with nearly 2” on the way in the next 24 hours. That will be the true test.
