That's a good option. I like Ruffwear stuff. I use one of their harnesses to strap by dog to me so she can come to some climber areas with more techy approaches.
You work at Next Adventure? I want to say they were a customer when I was working at Shred Ready a while back.

They do make awesome stuff. Are you using the climbign specific Double-Back harness?

Small world, I am the Paddlesports Buyer for Next so am all too familiar with the Shred Ready crowd, especially as our relationship nwith Dave Fusilli has pushed increased sales on their helmets for us. Those guys sold to Salamander/NRG just little while ago.

I'm not sure which one it is. I don't think it's the climbing specific one. I'm not doing anything crazy, just need an easy way to pick her up and hold onto her for short stretches.
Funny, and yes small indeed. I saw the name of the shop, and thought that sounded too familiar. I was there from 2011 - 2015.

Just to keep my post relevant to the thread, I have my truck getting the passenger airbag recall done, and I think I'm going to have them service my front diff if it's not too outrageous. That fill plug is in there TIGHT and I'd rather they break something and fix it than me.

Replaced the pcv valve hose, the old was a lil loose.......
    And a new gas cap.
Also tested my battery and alternator. 12.59-12.60 while off.
14.2 with everything off and the truck running at begging
14.11with everything on; lights, fogs and radio set to 11!
Then I chalked the wheels and put it in drive, 13.91 with everything on.
Turned everything off and was still getting around 13.91
I can see my volt needle dancing a bit at a stop light and have a strange vibration that I’m wondering might be correlated?
I’ll have to look up the specs for the alternator Go/NG range

Also a white long bed 4wd v8 drove by real slow(of course) and rubber necked at what I was doing. He had some nice wheels and tires and a basic topper

Wow. Your old hose was jacked.

13.6-13.9 is the Optimal when Engine running with accessories on per FSM. Higher Alt Vibes and needle spikings up may be a sign of Bad Mojo in there.

Replaced my cheap Amazon tailgate handle as it was not working as well as I wanted. Sucked it up and bought an OEM one, body colored. Boy do I wish my truck was still this color. I’ll have to do a lot of paint correction this spring once it’s nice out.
Anyone want me old handle, practically new out doesn’t engage till the handle is fully up and then some.

how much did a colored one run you? Ive always toyed with the idea of getting a color matched one since I saw my uncles limited one. And im obsessed with color matching

Here's a cheap solution if you can't get a plug out or strip it, worked like a charm.

The only reason I chose a color matched one was because it wasn't but $10-15 more than the black one. OEM was $120 shipped. Stupid expensive but you can tell it's way more stout than the aftermarket one.

yep he did. Easy way to get it out and then you'd obviously replace the bolt with a new one...as well as buy yourself a new 10mm hex

You got it, the heat from the welder is an added bonus helping to break it free.

Whoa, i was thinking you were putting a water tank in the front or rear of the wheel well area. Then I saw you just put one giant water tank along the whole side. I like it! How many gallons is that?

Also, completed my Throttle body and IAC cleaning yesterday, reinstalled and everything is running well. It idled pretty high at first, almost 2,000 RPM but then settled down once the computer readjusted. I read thats how it works atleast, so glad mine calmed down after a few minutes.

Working on a katzkin install with heating and cooling from @jhuey8947. Bit of a learning curve, but so far so good. Got the rears done yesterday and am aiming to get the passenger done today ✔️

    F1AA7C46-589C-4A50-B6CE-F3B934CFAFFC.jpg C54BB88F-6F08-4D39-BB3A-79CEF87A8483.jpg 512CAEFD-0B95-4C49-900F-8C22754169FB.jpg

Passenger rear done in this pic next to original driver rear. I’m planning to let it rest in the sun til I finish the others then steam out any remaining wrinkles. So far I have to say I’m really impressed with the quality. Nicer than my 3rd Gen limited seats and initially seems softer than my wife’s gx460.

How are you guys doing this? I called Katskin and they say that a Katskin installer must do it. Unless you bought these through a dealership.

Ya, the only reason I haven't done that is I don't have a welder... yet.
I thought about a brass hammer to give a little tap or maybe a heat gun to get the plug nice and hot (I'd rather not put a torch to it). I bought a 1/2'' 10mm hex impact socket so I might see if I can get my electric impact in there or use a breaker bar.

I use an air hammer with a chisel bit. Notch it with the chisel, then use the notch with the chisel to break it loose. Works every time

Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly I don't have an air chisel either.
I called Toyota and they said it would be about $40ish bucks to service the front Diff. So I'm going to have them take care of that and the transfer case. That way if I ever make it home I won't have to deal with that and can head straight to the mountain and enjoy some fresh snow.

After seeing the post from @912 I'm reaching out to John about some seats also. I was looking at Roadwire but John seems to have an option to do yourself and will be cheaper/easier that way.

If you put the seat foam in a plastic bag, it slides into the covers more easily. Once in, pull out the plastic bag. Be sure to think about how the bag will come out - if the foam is in the bottom of the bag & the bag bottom is in 'bottom' of the cover there will be some bag shredding involved. LOL.
You don't want your leather seats to 'crinkle' like a cheap plastic bag.

Thanks for the tip! I plan to definitely do the vacuum/plastic bag method for the headrests, but for far the seats have gone on just fine. The hardest part has been cutting the old hog rings with 4 1/2" wcrecutters. Went to get a proper set of 8" side cutters this morning and consider them an absolute essential.

For reference, the charcoal with black contrast stitching matches my dark interior perfectly. The shade is EXACTLY the same as the plastics on the sides of the seats.
