Disagree, big photos are bomb! I love when I check the forum on my real computer instead of the phone.

    So much truck!

For me, typically, if I can't do it from my phone it doesn't get done.

It's gotten cold here in Colorado and my truck has started doing some weird things. When I start it up in the morning the overdrive light is on, and I have to click it off each time. Any ideas on that?

Also, the steering wheel is really had to turn. I read that it could be the u-joints on the steering shaft. I'm goin to check it out this weekend, but just wanted to see if anybody had other pointers on what to look for.

I also found out my hvac knob doesn't go all the way to defrost, full defrost is actually floor, but full vent is full vent. I'm really hoping it's just that the teeth on the white dial under the knob have jumped.

]Pulled the diff put and took it to the shop to be redone. I'm 99% sure the noise I get is a bad pinion bearing since the wear pattern and backlash were within spec.

I also put in those red stainless steel brake lines. I hope bleeding the brakes won't be too bad. I would love to hit my underbody with a power washer, but I have to put it together first.

They gave my pedal a consistent feel through the push down. IOW, before my pedal was soft on the initial push until feeling the potatoe in the pedal.

Now, the pedal has the same soft initial push and the brakes engage evenly through the push. A more lineal feel. Same brake pedal depth just a different smoothing out consistent feel.

Disabled the always on A/C micro-switch for the floor-defrost and defrost vent positions. Only one side has to be disconnected, unclipped the wire back to behind the fan switch, routed up through a hole and back so it hangs over one of the blend door cables. No chance of rattles or it being in the way.

    IMG_20201204_155012.jpg

Got tired of the squeak from the center of the dash over the radio. Noticed if I put pressure on the center of the top of the radio bezel it went away. Since I had the radio bezel off I removed the top center clip and the noise is gone now.

    PhotoGrid_1607132708481.jpg

Also snapped a pic of the stick on pad that helped quiet down the door rattle some.

    No problem.

Probably one of the few good things about the 05-06 factory amp being in the rear pass storage area... extra room to disconnect it.

I tend to leave the vents on floor-defrost but don't always want AC on. So I'm pretty happy it was a simple and easy mod to do. I was worried I'd have to figure out techstream lol.

That's great to hear! I think the tundra brakes are way too mooshy. I plan to do the 4runner/lexus brake upgrade when I can justify it. I hope the SS lines do the same for me.

95% of the time I leave mine on one of the two defrost settings. I must have missed your tag where it says '05. I'm wondering if my '02 will be that easy also.

Shouldn't be a problem. The amp is back far enough you probably have more than enough room.

Those look extremely well made. They look stout, as well. Nice smoov bends and both sides have the bungs! These look like winners.

I'm feeling more confident about headers. Pretty sure I'll do long tubes at some point.

@FrenchToasty , when are you installing yours?

I haven’t ordered all my parts yet, but I’m hoping by the end of January. Just trying to be wise with funds and not buy crap that’s not necessary right now with holidays on the front

Today I snugged up all the bolts on my sliders and finished my annual fluid film application. The frame looks sexy. Fluid film is a neat product. It's can do a variety of jobs. I spray my battery terminals with it and I also wiped it all over my front bumper.

Been using the little bit left over from a few years ago on my Lawn Mower Blade. Keeps it slick and from grass build up adhering.

Today I finished what I started on Thanksgiving.
    - changed my rear diff oil with Lucas.
    - Installed rear diff breather ext
    - changed front diff oil
    - installed both front axels, rebuilt 1 and had to restrap the other as it was leaking grease.
    - installed new front wheel bearings, hubs etc.
    - installed onboard compressor
    - mounted switches for compressor and light bar
    - almost decided to torch the truck when I was almost done last week but my front passenger brake line started leaking while flushing the brake system. I didn’t torch the truck, came to my senses before I could find the lighter fluid.

Over a week later, got the new Blake line and caliper line. Today, I drove my truck.

(Camper conversion underway.) Rebuilt engine w/265K miles, A.R.E. camper shell (w/cab pass-through, rooftop fan, and side windows delete), bedlinered steel ladder rack (w/wooden rooftop deck and hammock mount), all LED lights (red dash, 4" side floods, 32" rear bar), Android head unit, 1.5" lift from Bilstein 5100 struts, 32" DuraTrac tires on factory rims, 1.5" wheel spacers, Moog suspension parts, SuperSprings leaf kit, diff drop, Reese trailer brake control, GoRhino Hitch Step, debadged, F-150 rear bumper, Sequoia center console unit upgrade, partial rear bench seat delete, dashcam, aftermarket speakers, 50% sound deadening coverage, custom tools unit.
Does changing the headers change the exhaust sound? I don't want it to be louder, but obviously I'm all about HP/MPG gain.

I didnt do any testing for hp but I couldnt really spin my tires on a dry road but I can now . Also i blew a hole in my resinator it was very rusty though but it happened after i changed my headers when I was accelerating onto the highway. You definitely have more airflow I can tell you that much for sure.
