That is my fear, the inboard one looks just like a weld. Thanks for the link to your experience, hoping the new nut trick works for me too.

@Professional Hand Model I've read your build thread, will probably just do all 4. Rock Auto has the densos for less than 50 bucks per sensor.

Grandpa mode activated! Any silver guys out there rocking a white top wanna trade? Drove a 3 hour round trip to pick this thing up off of market place. Totally worth it.

Had a few of these SS formed thread clamps laying around. Threw a spare piece of heat shrink on and added it as the cheap anti-theft device.

Nice thing about these style clamps is you can get a lot of torque on them. Unlike cheaper clamps that have slots cut in them. ;)
    IMG_20201107_151942.jpg

Also gave a quick snug to the bottom window track 10mm bolts accessible on the front doors since I had the ratchet already out.

Contemplating the fog light mod. Trying to decide if I want to get fancy and tie in some diodes to make it work with low/high beams, work with parking lights (easier) or anytime the key is 'on'...

Maybe it’s a Texas thing but as a youngun I was always taught to put the hose clamp on. It’s like a lock, it may not stop em but it’ll delay em long enough to get a shot off.

Regarding the fog light mod, it was one of the first things I did back when TundraSolutions was popular. I remember that it never seemed certain as to whether the pinned thread would work or not but it did on mine. I use my brights a lot and it’s a huge difference.

Watered the freshly seeded and sprouting grass and driveway and then decided to roll in the wetness and re-check torque spec on the front calipers. Next time, I’ll think ahead more better.

I’ve considered doing this, but read that it makes noise inside the cabin increase as the fresh cabin air intake is located right there. Is this true?

Reason for me doing is to eliminate the hot engine air suction during idle. The new mod would suck from the cowl screen.

But if you hit water too fast, isn't the bow wave going to roll up the hood & into the cowl cover? Seems like that'd be the 2nd worst place to grab air?

Having had the cowl open quite a bit when fixing the clip leaks and even greasing the wiper blade arms inside, I can say that that area in the pass side corner is well protected. There are drain holes in there. I assume if the new intake arm is higher than the drain then one would be ok.

Yeah when I removed mine, I was surprised how far away the actual vent on the cowl was from the AC air intake. It’s offset quite a bit

It is offset pretty far. I gobbed FuzeIt all up in the rim of that Cowl Bowl and even along the outer gasket when tracking down that leak. Really quieted down the outside noises.

Cabin air is right there, yes / I'm certain there will be increased noise. I haven't taken it for a drive yet since I got right into steering rack bushings yesterday, but can update you this afternoon.

Did everything right and it still leaked I suppose through a crack in the clip. I ended up loading that up with a gob.

Not sure how @FirstGenVol got that total. I'm probably just too tired to realize the proper method.

Anyways, rainfall discussion reminded me. Its probably rained at least 6" since I changed my high mount stop light.

No leaks yet. I've been keeping a close eye on this one.

We got more in one day than you do all year. Someone I know, whose family were First Settlers, Great Great Great Grandparents had their graves floating in a lake. The Island Waters rose around their site and flood them out. The flood problem was exacerbated by a neighborhood development from 40 years back. We need to bring vegetable fields back.
